★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The Veterinarians are very thorough and knowledgeable as far as my experience goes. I always have resolutions to my dog's issues when I leave there. Price per visit is my only issue going here but as far as experience you are in good handa.
August 12 · Kenneth BookI don’t have a problem with the qualifications or bedside manners of the doctors but I’m leaving this practice. I have a rescue dog that has behavioral problems and it’s always a challenge to find a place that doesn’t mind to deal with such animals. I don’t feel welcomed here at all. Last week my dog got very sick and knowing from the previous experience that his primary vet NEVER has an appointment available on the same day I took him to an urgent care where he got very good first aid treatment. After we came home I called Newtown Hospital to schedule a follow up with any doctor who would be available right away. It was scheduled for the same day in the evening. In about an hour prior I received a call from the front desk and was told that the doctor will not see him and that I should go back where I took him initially or take him to the ER. And they canceled my appointment. Later the urinalysis from the urgent care were emailed to the primary doctor. I called and asked if she evaluated the results and whether she has any recommendations on how to proceed further. I was told that the doctor, when she has time, will do it and will call me back. Well, it has been more than a week since and nobody called me. However, when I scheduled the preadmission appointment for dental prophylaxis, not the actual procedure yet, the bill of $1200 was sent to me immediately. In conclusion, if you have well behaved and preferably relatively healthy dog and unlimited resources, then this corporate practice with all the doctors who received Ivy League Schools education is for you.See attached photo of the cancellation. Also you didn’t get the irony implied that the bill was mailed to me without the delay but that I was left in complete darkness of what to do next, and also not letting me come in to discuss the treatment plan, and not informing me about the results of the labs. I always pay my bills no questions asked. And by calling your place corporate I didn’t mean technicality but the way it is ran. An efficient business. Could put a little more compassion and empathy into it.
July 27 · Olga RDropped my dog of on 7.19..Put my cell #on 2 places of boarding agreement. 10:30 PM on 7.25 heard message on home phone my dog had diarhea on 7.21 and he was treated per protocol. No call was received on my I phone cell. Not on missed/recent calls or otherwise. More importantly no text message was sent/received!!!!!!!!. NVH staff said our food is the best /purest and 'WE DON'T DO text messages'. [Unlike 7 billion others] In 9yrs/~15 boardings at other kennels my dog never had issue!!Was told [3 times] 12:30 PM 9.26 [ in front of 3 employees] that reason for non direct communication was 'new employee'. Was told cost for diarhea treatment is ~ $190 . Was told reason was stress colitis caused by environment.. Never heard or was made aware/warned of this. 3 previous kennels never had issue or made any reference to this. NVH said 7.28 this is common!!?? On 7.28 was told by kennel mgr. there are no recent/new employees !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Given fact of contradictory statements 7.26 vs. 7.28 and fact they went disingeniously out way to find/use my home number ... and avoid contact makes this smell really, really, really bad!!!
July 28 · Jules MullerHonestly for our family it's a 1 hour plus drive, and I wouldn't go anywhere but here. They are exceptional and caring.
