Today, our family had to let one of our beloved pets transcend. Maddie Girl - Boo Boo - so FUNNY and FIESTY. I am very proud of my sister and her husband, as this is never an easy decision to make, but quality of life really matters and that was their deciding factor. Maddie lived 15 wonderful years, sharing her moxie and fun-spirited energy with all around her.Everyone we encountered at OACC facility was compassionate and professional. Dr. Brehmer and his assistant Wendy were very kind and caring, and took their time in explaining the entire procedure. Every question we asked, they answered - and they even tolerated our dark humor… after all, humor is what gets us through our grieving, at least for our family anyway.Thank you Dr. Brehmer and Wendy (and Maggie) - you all made our very sad day a little happier because of your graceful ways.

My cat , Flora, received excellent care, and so did I, throughout her recent mysterious health scare. The doctor was able to make a diagnostic plan from the sketchy information that I was able to provide. Then the plan went into action and I was informed every step of the way. Everyone on the team, from my worried phone call to get her help to thanking everyone for their kind care was knowledgeable, friendly and supportive. Happily, I have a healthy, happy kitty thanks to the TEAM at Ortega Animal Care Center!!

I love this clinic! The doctors and front staff AND their amazing groomer “G” are all awesome and take such great care of my dogs and cats. I drive 40 minutes across Ortega hwy to take my animals here because I trust them 100%. Ten stars!

Went to have a newly adopted Kitten spayed. Staff was extremely helpful and thorough with services that would be completed. After care was carefully explained and Staff answered all my questions. Ms. Shamrock has a check up on Saturday the 19th! Excited to have 2nd visit with same Doctor(that completed surgery) to confirm healing process and progress. Great Pet Care Center for all your animal needs.

This was absolutely the most unprofessional veterinary experience I have ever had in the 20 years I've loved animals. This vet spent the entire visit trying to manipulate, connive and downright lie about California law being the reason for one of the unnecessary charges on my invoice. As he twisted information and wound his way around as many deceitful avenues as he could to charge me for unnecessary services, he refused to give the most vulnerable, my dog, the necessary care for him to literally not die or charge me a "hospitalization fee." He recited that his medical director was not going to charge me for the x-rays to be read, even though it's possibly California Law, in his opinion. I confirmed this is not a law, so be wary that this is potentially a business that supports this kind of behavior. Under this kind of business practice that was demonstrated to me and my very sick and vulnerable dog, you and your animal will suffer unnecessary charges, harassment, 2 and a half hours to be exact, and leave without the necessary care for your animal. It was chronic pneumonia, $466 dollars later, my Frenchies complicated pneumonia was untreated with IV antibiotics. The protocol that he's received hundreds of times since he was 3 months old and is now 9 years old. This vet should be a used car salesman and unfortunately he had his brother (shadowing him) to witness his morbidly unethical behavior.As of May 6, My dog is dead. Dr. Brent Utterback's lack of intervention did not help. As I sat in my car looking for another vet, he walked into the parking lot laughing with his brother. I guess if you can't syphon enough money out of someone, then intervention for chronic pneumonia is out of the question.
