Vetco Vaccination Clinic Introduce
In Pennsylvania, being a responsible pet owner means ensuring your furry family members receive regular preventative care. While full-service veterinary hospitals are essential for comprehensive health needs, many pet owners seek out more affordable and convenient options for routine services like vaccinations and microchipping. This is where specialized clinics, often found in retail locations, play a vital role in making essential pet healthcare accessible to a wider community. These clinics focus on a streamlined set of services, allowing them to offer competitive pricing and a quicker visit for busy pet parents. For residents of Wilkes-Barre and the surrounding areas, this type of specialized care is a valuable resource for maintaining their pet's health and safety.
The importance of vaccinations cannot be overstated. They are the cornerstone of preventative veterinary medicine, protecting pets from a wide range of dangerous and often fatal diseases. From rabies, which is legally required in many areas, to core vaccines like distemper and parvovirus, staying on schedule is key to your pet's long-term health. Similarly, microchipping is a simple yet crucial step that can make all the difference if your pet ever gets lost. A specialized clinic that offers these services can be a game-changer for families looking to manage these essential health requirements efficiently and affordably.
Vetco Vaccination Clinic, located inside the Petco store in Wilkes-Barre, PA, is an example of this modern approach to veterinary care. It operates with a focus on preventative health, offering a limited scope of services at a reduced cost compared to a traditional animal hospital. This model is designed to be a convenient one-stop-shop for routine pet needs. By concentrating on vaccinations and microchipping, they aim to provide a service that is both quick and accessible, making it easier for pet owners in the Wilkes-Barre community to keep their animals healthy and protected.
Vetco Vaccination Clinic is located at 3480 Wilkes Barre Twp Commons, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702, USA. This address places the clinic inside the Petco store, which is situated in a major commercial area. The clinic also uses text reminders to help clients remember their appointments, which is a useful feature for busy pet owners. This structured approach helps to ensure that the process is as smooth as possible, though it is always wise to arrive a little early to complete any necessary check-in procedures.

Vetco Vaccination Clinic Reviews
rabies
★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The guy who registered us said we would be good for the 3 year rabies vaccine.Kim Hanley was the vet- I definitely don’t recommend her. She spoke over me, was rude and treated my cat like shes a piece of trash. I asked about the vaccine and how long it was good for she snapped that without the prior certificate she’s giving 1 year. I said I have the certificate but she didn’t care at all. Super rude.I would’ve just gone to my vet to get the 3 year and it would’ve cost less. It’s not worth the nonsense to go this route.
August 25 · Shana MellaIt was nice to get an appointment at the clinic Saturday. The clinic staff and veterinarian were very friendly and the process was smooth. I appreciated the text reminders prior to the appointment as well. Thank you for providing this service.
July 06 · David KropfDr. Kim Hanley acted like she’s never seen a hyper puppy before. She was very rude during the entire encounter. She needs to look for another career if she can’t handle different temperaments of animals.
March 21 · StephanieIt was a very quick visit, the staff were very helpful and friendly to my pets and myself.the only thing is I haven’t received my pet’s rabies paperwork I was told it will be in my email and I haven’t received anything
June 27 · Antoinette Didia RamosDr Kim Hanley is a poor excuse for a vet. There was a note in my cat’s chart that started he hisses (from nerves) so she refused to take him out of his carrier for his vaccines. She had her assistance pin my cat’s head and body to the bottom of the carrier and tried to vaccinate him that way which caused him to freak out. She then grabbed him by the back of his neck, flung him around, and shoved him back into the carrier face first while trying to vaccinate him again. He freaked out and she slammed the top of the carrier shut and said “Yeah, that’s not going to happen… You need to go to a full service vet from now on if that’s how he is going to act” with an terrible attitude. Very unprofessional behavior for a VET who is supposed to work with ANIMALS. I do not recommend these services as you cannot tell which vet will be attending clinics on what days. An absolute joke.Aliyah, Alyssa, and Trinity however were angels. Very sweet girls who you can tell love their job!
