ADHD Aquatics Introduce
For many Utah residents, the peaceful and mesmerizing world of aquariums offers a unique and rewarding hobby. However, getting started or maintaining a thriving aquatic environment can be a challenge, especially when faced with unhealthy fish from large chain stores. This is where ADHD Aquatics, a small business in Ogden, steps in to provide a genuinely superior experience. This isn't your average pet store; it's a specialized, veteran-owned, and women-owned business dedicated to the health and vitality of aquatic life. With a strong focus on quality over quantity, ADHD Aquatics has quickly become a trusted resource for aquarists across Northern Utah.
The owner, Emily, brings a passion and a wealth of knowledge to the business that is simply unmatched. Her commitment to raising healthy fish is a game-changer for many hobbyists who have struggled with high mortality rates from other sources. As a customer review emphatically states, the difference is noticeable: fish from ADHD Aquatics are "noticeably healthier, way less stressed, and acclimated to our tank immediately." This fact-based quality is a direct result of Emily’s expert care and dedication, which ensures every fish, shrimp, and snail is in peak condition before it goes to a new home.
Beyond the health of the animals, ADHD Aquatics offers a more personal and educational experience. Instead of just selling you products, Emily takes the time to "hook you up" with everything you need, offering valuable advice and guidance. The goal is not just a sale, but to help you succeed in your aquatic endeavors. This level of customer care fosters a community of trust and support, which is invaluable for both beginners and seasoned hobbyists.
The store's unique name, ADHD Aquatics, is a playful nod to the mesmerizing and engrossing nature of the aquarium hobby, which can easily captivate the attention of anyone. This spirit of fun and genuine enthusiasm is what makes visiting this local business such a pleasure. It's a place where you can find fun and exciting options for your tank, like blue dream shrimp and dwarf gouramis, and feel confident that they will thrive in your care, thanks to the expertise of the owner.
ADHD Aquatics is conveniently located in a peaceful residential area of Ogden, making a visit a unique and personal experience. You can find the business at 4015 Grenwood Cir, Ogden, UT 84405, USA. This location, while not in a traditional commercial district, allows for a more focused and one-on-one consultation with the owner.
The business operates on an appointment-required basis, which ensures that you get Emily's full, undivided attention. This is a significant advantage over large, busy stores where staff are often spread thin. The appointment system also allows for a more personalized shopping experience, where you can discuss your specific needs and goals without feeling rushed.
Parking is made easy with both a free parking lot and free street parking available. While there is no public information on general accessibility features like wheelchair access, the appointment-based model allows for direct communication to address any specific needs you may have before your visit.
As a specialized pet store, ADHD Aquatics focuses on services that support the entire aquarium-keeping hobby.
Expert Advice and Consultation: Emily provides invaluable guidance on setting up and maintaining a healthy aquarium. As a customer review highlights, she is "extremely knowledgeable" and can help you select the right animals and supplies for your tank, from a full setup to a unique ecosphere.
Healthy, High-Quality Aquatic Life: The business sells a wide variety of aquatic animals, including fish (such as neon tetras and dwarf gouramis), shrimp (like blue dream shrimp), and snails. A key differentiator is the health of these animals, which are visibly healthier and less stressed than those from large chain stores.
Specialty Aquarium Supplies: ADHD Aquatics offers a range of supplies, from Java moss for a planted tank to other essentials for a thriving aquatic environment. They help you get everything you need, as one customer mentioned when setting up their ecosphere.
Curbside and In-Store Pickup: The business offers convenient service options, including curbside pickup and in-store pickup, which allow for a quick and seamless transaction once your items have been selected.
ADHD Aquatics stands out from the competition with several unique features and highlights that make it a premier choice for Utah aquarists.
Focus on Healthy Animals: The most significant feature is the health of the animals sold. The customer review that compared ADHD Aquatics' fish to those from a chain store, noting a "near 100% death rate" from the latter, is a powerful testament to the superior quality of the livestock here. This focus on health saves customers money and heartbreak.
Veteran and Women-Owned Small Business: By choosing ADHD Aquatics, you are directly supporting a local, small business that is also veteran and women-owned. This is a great way to contribute to the local economy and support a business with a strong sense of purpose.
Appointment-Required Personal Service: The need for an appointment ensures that you receive a personalized, one-on-one consultation. This level of dedicated attention and expert advice is a luxury you won't find in a busy retail environment.
Expertise and Customer Education: The owner, Emily, is not just a seller but a trusted advisor. Her willingness to share knowledge and help customers succeed is a key highlight. She can guide you through complex projects like an ecosphere, ensuring a successful outcome.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Don't bother going anywhere else. We tried petsmart for a month and had a near 100% death rate; all but one fish and a mystery snail died. I thought our tank had to be poisoned somehow. But finally, we found this place and Emily's fish are noticeably healthier, way less stressed, and acclimated to our tank immediately. All have easily outlived their counterparts from petsmart. She also has a lot more fun options to choose from too. We got blue dream shrimp, neon tetras, and a dwarf gourami to start, and they're all happily exploring the tank alive and very well. We will definitely be back to finish adding to our tank, just gotta let some plants finish growing in first!
April 09 · Kevin BarkerI’m so glad I found Emily I mentioned to her that I had some snails and I wanted to do an ecosphere, I wasn’t sure what I needed, Emily was so helpful she got me shrimp, Java, moss, practically everything that you see in this jar she help me out with. She’s extremely knowledgeable. It’s been 23 days and it is doing amazing. The first video & first picture is from day 1 & the second video & picture as you can see is 23 days later I can’t get over how crisp and clear the water is from then to now. So what are you waiting for? Go see Emily she’ll hook you up shrimp guppies etc. I’m seriously thinking about making another one so much fun for kids and adults.
September 30 · KI wish I had taken the advice of others who warned about unhealthy imported stock at ADHD Aquatics. Was sold 7 small plecos advertised as L183 Starlights, and after careful acclimatization 5 of the 7 died within a few weeks. To make matters worse, the 2 surviving fish are now mature enough to positively ID them as completely different pleco species (only one of them is actually L183). We were also offered a 20% discount prior to traveling to their store in Ogden, and once we arrived the discount was not honored. I would strongly advise against shopping here.
April 19 · Clayton LeubaWonderful people, and beautiful shrimp! My rainbow of shrimps are absolutely lovely! ♡the blues are so blue that they looked dark on camera, they are a beautiful colour!
January 21 · popbomb65 “Stockings”Emily hooked me up with a bunch of shrimp for my tanks and some java moss for them to live in. They are a great addition to my tank. Thanks!
