Instead, it is a small, dedicated business focused on the fascinating world of reptiles and the essential supplies needed to care for them. Located at 3408 E Main St, this store serves as a key resource for reptile hobbyists, breeders, and those looking to get into the world of exotic pets.
The core of D.K. Reptiles and More's business is its deep-seated commitment to the reptile community. The owner, often described as a nice and knowledgeable individual, understands the specific needs of these animals and their owners. It is important for prospective customers to understand the nature of this unique establishment. It operates more like a professional breeding and supply facility than a traditional retail store, catering to a specific clientele. While some may be used to the polished, pristine environment of a large chain, D.K. Reptiles and More provides a different kind of value—one rooted in expertise and a focused inventory. This business model allows them to concentrate on what they do best, providing the necessary tools and animals for successful reptile keeping.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Not sure why this place gets a bad wrap. Maybe just uneducated people. Sometimes you may walk into the place and it smells. When you go to a place that breeds feeder rodents what do you expect. This is not a pet smart. This is a quality breeder for reptiles and feeders. We have been getting our feeders here the past few months, they’re the closest around and it’s nice to just have them less than an hour away. Sometimes you may be greeted by a pit bull assuming he’s a guard dog considering the place’s location. But all he wants is just to be petted like any other good dog. The owner is a really nice guy, he has made sure we went home with the appropriate food for our feeders to eat free of charge. Would recommendthis place if you are looking for feeders.
August 22 · Shea SingletonI went to this place with my dad and little brother hoping to find a small gecko. From the outside, it looked sketchy—not like a real pet store—but the reviews weren’t awful, so we gave it a try. We really regret it.As soon as we walked in, the smell of urine was overwhelming. A large pit bull greeted us at the entrance—not a person—which felt unsafe and totally unprofessional. Then came the noise: the sound of hundreds of rats’ feet scratching and pounding on their cages. It was like something out of a horror movie.Inside, there were stacks and stacks of rodent cages, two huge rabbits, and a few large reptiles like iguanas and pythons—but nothing we came for. It didn’t even seem like a pet store anymore. It felt more like a breeding facility for reptile food, not a place where you’d ever buy a pet.No one working there spoke to us or made eye contact. We left quickly, and the smell stuck to our clothes so badly we had to go home and change. I don’t know how this place is allowed to stay open.It felt unsafe for us and inhumane for the animals. I really hope someone from animal control or public health investigates this place. No one should walk into that.
July 11 · David KaplanskyI had an amazing experience today. The owner was very kind and thoughtful. He took the time to tell us what we needed and didn't need for our new baby beardie. My students will love having him/her in class! I will recommend this place a thousand times!
June 02 · Chelsea ThomasGot a Mojave ball python from there about 2 years ago very friendly man behind the counter adorable dog I get to pet while he picks out my rat for our picky snake that only likes red eyes and spotted rats kept us getting our food exclusively from the store
August 18 · Andy StampPurchased an Arizona Blonde and was told that it was sexed and "confirmed" to be a female, when we arrived home we noticed a pretty gnarly injury on one of it's legs and ended up dropping it in its final molt. During that same molt we found out it was male.I asked when I got him what his last feeding was and he was given pinkies and should eat again with no problem. He was on a hunger strike the whole year I had him and recently died (RIP Daytona). I got him with the expectation that he was a female and would live for much longer. Regardless of my disappointment I took good care of him.I believe I paid around $95-100 for my T and I'm really disappointed with the experience I had. While I am newer to insect keeping, I am not entirely inexperienced. I knew the price was high, but he was good with being handled and I was expecting him to be around for much longer than he was.
