★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Hate to do this, but I recently bought a guinea pig from here and she was 50% off due to her “obesity.” I was even talking to the supervisor about buying this specific piglet, and asking questions about bonding and care. I took her home, had her running around my floor, I even slightly decreased how much food she was eating. Anyways, a few days ago, she gave birth. I am a first time pig owner, and the last thing I was prepared for is my pig having babies. No one seemed to know she was pregnant, and I was not told this at all. I called the pet store, and got in touch with the guinea pig sanctuary to figure out how to care for the babies. I had the babies for two days, after getting the right hay, veggies, and whatnot for the momma and pups, but I knew something was wrong. I assumed something was wrong as soon as I brought her home, but was sure I could help her. I took her for a health assessment and was met with gasps. Momma had developed mastitis in a day, and had numerous other health problems. I gave her to the sanctuary as they promised to nurse the pups to health, and give momma the proper vet care she needed. I just didn’t want to bring her to get sold again, especially without her babies. Anyways, please try and rescue your pets. That was my attention adopting a pre-owned, “obese” piggie, but I do believe petco should’ve been aware she was pregnant.
September 04 · Tyneesha Ramos (Tyni)Nothing against the store but some employees need to be trained of how to deal with different situations. I had an experience a few days ago and now I have to make sure that the specific person is not at the cash register so I can feel comfortable to go in the store again. Otherwise everyone is great. Petco been my favorite pet store for years.

December 05 · Gee R.Shout out to Eric at the Leominster Petco! He knew his stuff, was very helpful, and very pleasant. Thanks Eric for helping me locate the last one left in the store!👍🏼
August 11 · Sandra BrusoI just took my service dog there today, for a full groom. I made the appointment in advance. This was his first time going there. He is a Golden Retriever and he needed a shorter cut. His last groomer moved away. So, I’ve been grooming him. I’m not a professional.I was so happy to see how amazing he came out! He looked like a whole different dog! He was nice and tidy. About as short as one can get with a double coat. The groomer deshedded him, did an amazing job on his nails and whole body. He is a bit timid of the Dremel, but I have been desensitizing him and he’s been doing great. Over all, just so happy! He is now going to be cooler. He is now cleaner and he smells like heaven!
