What is Worth Choosing
When you choose Wagmor Pets, you are choosing more than just a place to buy pet supplies; you are choosing to support a mission. What makes this establishment particularly worth choosing is its dual identity as a pet store and a dedicated animal rescue. The positive feedback from many customers highlights the compassionate and genuine nature of the staff, who are celebrated for their kindness and commitment to finding forever homes for their animals. The adoption process is seen as a major strength, designed not for speed, but for suitability, ensuring that each pet's journey to a new home is a successful one. Many pet owners in the Los Angeles area appreciate the opportunity to find a new best friend in a place that prioritizes ethical practices and animal welfare above all else.
However, it is important for prospective customers to be aware of the full range of public sentiment. There has been a concerning review that presents a starkly different perspective, describing a situation where dogs were allegedly left in a vulnerable state during a public holiday. This review criticizes the business's judgment and suggests a lapse in care and responsibility. While this review represents one specific viewpoint and contrasts sharply with the overwhelmingly positive feedback, it underscores the importance of every individual doing their own research and making an informed decision. For many, the overwhelmingly positive experiences and the visible dedication of the staff make Wagmor Pets a top choice. Their mission to save lives and create loving connections between people and pets resonates deeply with the California community, making it a truly unique and worthwhile place to visit.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had such a wonderful experience adopting my dog from Wagmor Pets. From the very beginning, Melissa (the owner) was incredibly accommodating and kind. You can tell immediately that she and the entire staff genuinely love their dogs — every animal is clearly well-cared for, safe, and loved. The adoption process is thorough (as it should be!), and I truly appreciated the thoughtful interview — they really want to ensure each dog goes to a forever home that’s the right fit.Melissa is a wonderful woman doing such meaningful work. Wagmor Pets is a great place to find your new best friend. I’m so grateful to them! 💛🐾
August 27 · Lanette Phillips📣 Wagmor, we saw you.July 4th. Late evening.Inside: dogs.Outside: glass, darkness, explosions, chaos. No staff. No light. No comfort.Dogs on dirty towels. Barking. Staring.Staring like they’ve already stopped believing. This isn’t a rescue. This isn’t a sanctuary. This is a sensory isolation chamber on the loudest night of the year. You didn’t make a mistake. You made a decision. You knew it would be loud. You knew it was night. You left living beings inside that hell — and went home. That means you accepted the risk they might break. And that means you shouldn’t be trusted with animals again. No sane person would leave a dog where“luxury” is just a word on the door, and inside, it’s silence, dirt, and fear.Your reputation ended on July 4th.
July 04 · Mark SpielbergMy review is for the cuddle session. If you can get over the smell right when you walk in and the idea that the pups have been walking around in their own and other dogs' urine, then the experience won't be too bad. There's hand sanitizer available as well. You first pay a small fee to interact with the dogs. I feel like they need more human contact time rather than people wanting a cuddle time with the dogs. Majority were desperately seeking attention and I do hope they get adopted soon. From what I've read from the other comments, yeah the adoption fee is kinda high, but keep in mind that that covers their vet bills and bringing the dogs in from other states takes up a ton of resources. I would adopt from this rescue one day and I do hope that the adoption process is smooth. The dogs could use more baths and social time with people/staff and especially the place getting the floors cleaned. The dogs had beds and crates, but no pee pads. Many of the dogs are very friendly and deserve a chance. The idea for a cuddle time is nice though and getting swarmed by a bunch of dogs is cute and a dream come true, but I do feel that there is too many dogs in a small space and when it's not outdoors where there is better circulation and air flow.
June 17 · D LMy partner and I "adopted" a puppy a few months ago at Wagmor. $1500 later! Btw NO credible rescue charges $1500 we later discovered. We've been warned not to disparage this place as a FRAUD because the owner and her cronies will "come after you." The woman is a known con artist in the dog and rescue community and NOT a rescue. Mention this rescue to any legitimate rescue and they will talk to you about her and her neglectful treatment of these dogs for hours! I wish we had known that before. Although we wouldn't dream of not having our pup, even with the slew of illnesses she came with, including diarrhea and an upper respiratory ( vomiting ) infection. She was very sick and it all could've been avoided had she been vaccinated, but she was NOT. The Wagmor owner is a horrible person and doesn't care about dogs let alone rescuing dogs. If you don't believe me google "The Truth About Wagmor." There is an LA TIMES article featuring Wagmor calling out the known corruption and there are websites and an Instagram account dedicated to the owner of Wagmor and her for PROFIT company. We are starting a class action lawsuit so Melissa Bacelar your days are numbered! STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!
August 09 · Whoever IFollowMy experience with attempted adoption. Me and my partner were looking to get our first dog together and saw a few puppies listed on Petfinder! We got in contact with wagnor and we're almost immediately able to get a phone interview for adoption as we aren't local. We were prepared for a standard phone interview although the interviewer was a bit strange. He seemed very pushy about rapid adoption and boastful about wagnor listing celebrities and talking about how they even have customers in other countries. We felt it was strange that he wasn't speaking on the animals only celebs and popularity but we decided to continue with the adoption. After the phone interview we requested time to decide on the puppy we were interested in and to figure out a timeline to meet them. Almost immediately after the phone call we received invoices in the amount of $1500. This was not just an invoice for the deposit but a request to pay in full. We felt that was odd as we hadn't decided yet and hadn't scheduled a time to meet the puppy which would be a must for us before paying in full. We then received very pushy almost aggressive texts requesting that we pay in full. This had all happened same day we saw the ad for the puppy. We were not willing to pay in full before meeting the puppy so we unfortunately had to withdraw our interest. When we told wagmor this they were pretty rude in response and that was the end of our experience. I would say after that experience I wouldn't suggest adopting with them. Their behavior is pretty concerning and resembles an adoption scam. After reading reviews and online threads it seems they are known not to be very trustworthy and our experience only solidified that. The takeaway from this is be careful who you adopt from not all rescues have the animals best interest at heart
