ADK Spay and Neuter Introduce
In the vibrant communities of Upstate New York, responsible pet ownership is a top priority, and a key part of that is ensuring your furry family members are spayed or neutered. For many, the cost of these essential procedures can be a significant barrier. This is where ADK Spay and Neuter, located in Hudson Falls, steps in to provide a critical service. As a dedicated veterinary clinic, they focus on offering affordable, high-quality spay and neuter surgeries and preventative care to reduce pet overpopulation and improve the overall health of animals in the region. This article will delve into what makes ADK Spay and Neuter a valuable resource for pet owners in New York, examining their services, mission, and the kind of experience you can expect when you visit.
ADK Spay and Neuter operates with a clear and crucial mission: to make spaying and neutering accessible to all pet owners, regardless of their income level. They are a non-profit organization spearheaded by Dr. Sarah Jensen, DVM, a veterinarian with a strong background in both small and large animal care. Their focus is on providing a safe and efficient surgical experience, ensuring that pets are well cared for from the moment they are dropped off to the moment they are picked up. One customer review praised the clinic's professionalism, noting an "easy drop off and easy pick up" and reporting that their pet, Molly, was "doing great." This kind of feedback highlights the clinic's success in providing a straightforward and stress-free process for pet owners.
However, as with any high-volume, low-cost clinic, there can be challenges. A different customer review brought to light some concerns about unexpected costs, such as additional fees for an overweight dog, pain medication, and a protective collar. While the reviewer acknowledged the quality of the spay procedure, they expressed frustration over the communication regarding these "little charges," which can add up for someone on a "limited income." The same customer reported a post-surgery infection and an additional fee for antibiotics, which added to the financial strain. While the clinic's core mission is to provide affordable care, this review serves as a reminder for all clients to ask for a full breakdown of potential costs beforehand to avoid surprises. It is a good practice for pet owners to have a clear understanding of all potential fees, including charges for things like pain medication, collars, or for pets that are heavier than a standard weight. The clinic's staff is known for being friendly, but a clear, direct conversation about pricing at the time of booking or drop-off can help prevent misunderstandings.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Very professional, easy drop off and easy pick up and my miss Molly is doing great .
August 07 · Bonnie MurrayI brought in my pet to have her spayed. I was very happy with the actual procedure but when it came time to pay it came it was approximately $100 more than I was quoted. They say because she was over 50 lb but we already talked about in overweight charge. Then they had little charges like the collar for $9 pain meds for her to come home with $9 along with the overweight charge came to almost $100 more than I was expecting. The staff was friendly until question and then lost all their empathy and got very down to business and would not listen to anything else. We bought the collar we did everything we were supposed to do for the next few days and our dog developed an infection. I called and asked and sent a picture and I was told to come pick up antibiotics. It had been mentioned since we had bought the collar that there should not be any charge for the antibiotic then when I got there to pick it up it was another $25. They are a great company but I am on a limited income and these little charges really start to add up. I will be canceling the appointment for my male dog to be neutered and I'm sorry that I have to do this but I have to plan my finances in advance.
April 15 · John SulpiziThis was a very good experience. We found a stray and a neighbor is keeping her. We got an appointment quickly and that process went very smoothly. I'd recommend this place to everyone.
June 21 · Michael RenaudI have brought 3 cats to be spayed / neutered to the clinic. I was never late or canceled any appointment. Due to the unforeseen CO strike my unit in the New York national guard was involuntarily deployed causing me to be forced to cancel two separate appointments since I was tasked to work 12 hour night shifts. I asked if I could have both deposits transferred to a future appointment due to the circumstances. I was told I had forfeited the deposit and “have to start fresh with new appointments”. I will no longer be utilizing this service.
March 02 · FirstAsh BowenThere is some crumbling well aged dog feces leading up the walkway. It is unclear where the actual entrance is located. Two of the doors are labeled Employees Only & the third door had a post it note saying Deliveries Only. I can only assume my kitten is a delivery? The lobby was dark and no one was there to greet me. I felt like maybe I'm in the wrong place, so I opened yet another door marked Employees Only and gave a slightly trepidatious hello. I received a gruff reply and a equally gruff intake. My kitten made it through her procedure without issue, so they do that well.
