Alternative Veterinary Services LLC Introduce
For pet owners in Massachusetts who are seeking a more holistic and integrated approach to their animal's health, Alternative Veterinary Services LLC is a beacon of hope. Located in North Andover, this practice stands out by combining conventional veterinary medicine with a wide range of alternative and complementary therapies. Led by the compassionate and knowledgeable Dr. Martha Lindsay, the clinic offers a unique blend of services designed to treat the whole animal, not just the symptoms. This is a place where every pet is seen as an individual, and the focus is on creating a tailored treatment plan that promotes long-term wellness and quality of life.
The philosophy at Alternative Veterinary Services is rooted in the belief that pets can benefit from a combination of modern medicine and natural healing methods. As one grateful client shared, their dog, Kota, gained "an extra few amazing years" thanks to the holistic approach of nutritional response and homeopathy. This success story highlights the clinic's ability to achieve remarkable results, particularly in cases where conventional treatments may be less effective or not desired. The staff, including Dr. Lindsay, is known for their kindness, patience, and compassion, creating a trusting and calm environment even for the most anxious of pets. One pet parent noted that their "terrified" little girl was "a lot more calm and willing to participate" after just two visits, a testament to the gentle and patient nature of the team.
The clinic’s approach is collaborative and educational. They empower pet owners by providing them with the knowledge and tools to actively participate in their pet's health journey. Whether it's through nutritional counseling, homeopathic remedies, or acupuncture, the goal is always to address the root cause of an issue and improve the animal’s overall well-being. The positive testimonials reflect a deep gratitude for the care provided, particularly during difficult times like saying goodbye to a beloved pet. The clinic's staff truly "care," and this genuine concern makes a profound difference in the lives of their clients and their animal companions.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I don't even know where to begin ... Dr. Martha Lindsay is kind, compassionate and I can't thank her and her staff enough for all they did for my dog, Kota. We started seeing Dr. Lindsay a few years back when we struggled with Kota's liver values. Kota was a dog who didn't medicated easily, and surgery was not something we wanted to put her through. She bounced back through nutritional response (changing her eating and cooking for her made a huge difference!) and then homeopathy over the past few years. I do believe we got an extra few amazing years with Kota thanks to Dr Lindsay. We recently had to say goodbye to Kota - the hardest decision a pet parent ever has to make. But I know we did our best! I highly recommend Alternative Vet Services for your pets. They truly care.
September 05 · Darlene Woodward (Pet Photographer)Dr. Martha is a good send!!!!! She is so patient and let's the animals go at their own pace. My little girl was terrified at first but only after two visits she is a lot more calm and willing to participate with her care now. The other staff is awesome too. I just can't remember the receptionists name or Dr. Martha's helper. But you two are both awesome!!!
May 14 · Breanna MartelDr. Lindsay and her staff are some of the most heart-warming people I've met. They have helped our 2 dogs and bunny. It's so nice to know there are alternatives to what ails our pets, and those that can help.
