Animal Clinic of Mount Vernon Reviews
I have been protective of my cat, Otto, accepting only the very best care for him. I found that in Dr. Meyer. I describe him as someone who does "real doctoring". When other veterinarians appeared to simply be looking for standardized testing without regard for Otto's advancing age and condition, Dr. Meyer, confident in his experience, applied a practical and and I might add successful approach to treating our cherished little guy. My husband and. I are grateful for the care he has given Otto and recommend him most highly to anyone who loves their pet.
October 04 · Mary AmeliaI love Dr. Meyer. I had a miniature schnauzer for 16 years and another cat for 19 years. He's a natural with animals and also sees in the eyes of the animal owner. I recommend everyone who wants a great vet to go to Animal Clinic of Mt. Vernon.Thank you, Dr. Meyer for being the best vet in the world!
November 28 · Sharon Ritchieworst animal vet ever !!! please do not take your animals here !! i had a dog for 8 years and of those 8 years we tookk our dog to dr.meyer as usual for shots, check ups, and when the dog was not feeling well . just recently , about 3 months ago , our dog had started limping, we figured it had something to do with his arm or shoulder area being injured , we brought him to dr.meyer and had him examined .. he charged us 400$+++ for "lime disease tests , bloodwork , etc etc etc ..." only to find out that supposedly our dog was "overweight and that is what was causing the limp" 2 weeks after that we decided to take our dog to a high rated animal hospital in ulster county 2 1/2 hours away from us here in westchester county ... after just ONE visit the doctor at ulster county animal hospital ran some x-rays only to find out that our dog did have CANCER which had not just developed recently but it had been forming for a LONG time which dr.meyer of mount vernon NEVER caught after all the visits we had made to him . Our dog had cancer not only in his bones but EVERYWHERE , kidneys ,lungs .. u name it. the day after we found out that our dog had cancer i went back to the mount vernon vet and complained about what happened and the lady at the desks only response was " theres nothing we could do about that " ......... after 2 months of medicating our dog with painkillers, deramaxx, and putting him on a raw food diet .. sadly he passed away on june 28th 2014.. i strongly beleive if we had a better vet for our dog we would have still had him here .. please save your time , money , and pets by NOT going here!
