★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My husband and I have two pittie mixes, Tito and Zelda, who recently showed signs of mange. After some bad experiences with other vets, we decided to try Blue Cross since it’s just down the street from our apartment—and we’re so glad we did.I’ve brought in each dog separately for assessment, and both visits have been truly wonderful. The doctors, front desk ladies, and vet assistants were incredibly kind and patient with us and the pups. Both dogs also received their vaccinations, which went smoothly. What really stood out was how they handled Zelda, who’s very skittish and dog-reactive. I called ahead, and they immediately accommodated us by allowing entry through the "cat side." There was no judgment—only compassion and understanding. You can tell the staff genuinely loves what they do and cares about the community. Tito and Zelda just started their Bravecto prescription, and we’re hopeful it’ll clear up their mange soon. Also, if you're concerned about breed bias—don't be. They absolutely adored our pit bulls, and the feeling was mutual! Also, prices are fair and reasonable!
April 08 · Livia McCleveAfter 45+ years of my family using Blue Cross Veterinary...I just had my last visit. My dog need a simple annual bordetella shot. No problem...but was also charged a exam cost of $80. An exam i didn't request and never even witnessed...and couldn't have taken more than 2 minutes (I guesstimate based on time outside the room...since I never saw it conducted). The vet then came in and told me my dog is in great health....which I already knew. So $80 for easily less than 5 minutes...for something I didn't request and already knew for a simple vaccine she needed.Unfortunately, the nice local Veterinary Clinic has now turned into a MAJOR money grab establishment...so very sad. Buyer Beware.
June 14 · Reed SpanglerI had to find a new vet during covid quarantine because my regular moved back to Canada. Now, 4 yrs later, I have found too many major holes in their care and flaws in their system. Due to their ongoing negligence and incompetence, I need to look for a new vet hospital. They are terrible with communication, follow through, and follow up, with one exception, Dr Dutton is excellent. A pet parent should not have to CALL THEM after waiting to get promised cardiologist results to be told the vet left early and won't be back for 4 days, or for a prescription question to take 10 days to be answered and/or to be filled wrong.Apparently this review upset those doctors and they are not pleased with this review. Truth hurts. They do secret exams in the back, and pets return completely distressed. They upgrade every treatment without discussing increased cost and then expect payment without you knowing it was not the treatment or vaccine you were advised on initially. They do not perform the tests you want but want others that are not helpful. The doctors do not communicate with each other at all, which is ridiculous, especially when you can not get in to see the same vet twice for a follow-up. Now, we know Stetson's cancer diagnosis was completely missed until 11/4 at emergency. I tried to push for more diagnostic tests before that but didn't realize it was a personal issue causing this. Now Stetson has his wings 🪽 and we will make better decisions going forward.
December 27 · Bobbie NovakI had to do the hardest thing I have ever had to do today, say goodbye to my beautiful and loving Ziva. She has been sick for the past year and a half and Dr Peter couldn't figure out what was wrong (probably the start of her cancer) six months ago we were referred to a surgeon who told us she had colon cancer with a tumor the size of a lemon and prognosis was not good. After spending thousands of dollars over the last few years at Blue Cross trying to make her well at no time after we were given the devastating news did we hear anything from them. Sham on you BC for not offering any support after a 7+ year relationship. I am truly heartbroken and was not ready for goodbye😪
May 23 · Michelle TashGood vets but over priced. Charge 330.00 for an xray. They say that they love fur babies but I was told they went corporate so that is why they charges so much
