★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr. G and his team are amazing! I have a reptile, a leopard gecko named Tootsie, and Dr. G is the second vet I have visited to help with an eating issue.Just for a comparison, the first vet I went to felt extremely rushed (he saw multiple animals at once) and was very intimidating (not very sympathetic to my pet's issue). The solution my previous vet gave me ended up hurting my baby more so I was very nervous to seek out another vet.Dr. G and his team are the complete opposite. They see each animal one at a time, are informative, and truly care about each pet! From my past experience, I was scared to give Tootsie antibiotic injections (she is a special case) and they let me bring her in every three days for them to give her the medicine instead of me. My girl is still a WIP but the entire team is very dedicated to getting her better and I am so happy I chose to go here! I wish i did from the beginning.
October 19 · Madeline KarasinskiI took my dog in for a check up and was told he needed medication for hookworm. After going to the office, paying $160 for 6 pills, I look it up and the same medication is $55 online. When I asked about why it was so much more expensive I was told they are just a small business so they can’t offer that pricing. Seems like a conflict of interest to have a vet tell you your pet needs a medication and then charge you 3 times the price. I understand small businesses can’t offer the same pricing as large online options but if you care about your small business and customers you would treat them fairly and be trustworthy. Now I won’t trust other treatments that are recommended because I’ll wonder if they are just doing it to get money out of me. Guess I have to find a new vet.
February 12 · Brent BradyI love this place! They are the nicest group of pet people ever. I feel confident my little feathered friend is getting the beast care he could get
May 15 · Brenda MageeI brought my dog in there for a sore front paw.Dr. G asked me a strange question, He said “do you want me to try my best or do you want me to just guess and we’ll see how we do?”Of course, I said do your best. I also asked him to give my dog his rabies and his yearly vaccination, as he was due for those at the time.Next thing I know he gives him a shot. I asked him if it was the rabies shot. He said no he was sedating him. He said it would take about 20 minutes, just sit down.. Then he took x-rays examined his foot and gave me antibiotics and something for pain. When all was said and done, I loaded my dog into the car, went back and said “I guess you need to get paid”.They gave me a $1700.00 bill. I couldn’t believe it. That’s emergency services sort of money. $1700 for a sore paw.I heard him say “Well I saw the name and just assumed”. Then one of the nurses said “Why don’t you come back when you can afford it?” Then they took all his medications away.I went home and called my daughter, She paid the bill.People talk about price gouging these days, Dr. Gerstenfeld is a huge price Gouger. Trying to overcharge me because he assumed that because of my last name that I could afford the very most, he could possibly charge me for a “SORE PAW” that’s it just a sore paw.Price gouging personified ‼️
November 14 · Alex AsplundhOne of the best vets I have ever been to. Dr. G fixed my dog’s joint issues through a combination of changes in diet and supplements and adjustments in exercise. Also taught me so much about how to improve and maintain her health myself as he was treating her. This man has such a depth of experience. He and his physical therapist truly understand orthopedic issues. I have also brought several foster dogs to him, who had old injuries and his advice and care was so valuable. Thank you!!
