While the provided address for Paw In Hand is listed as Chino Hills, CA 91709, USA, it is crucial to understand that this is primarily a mobile veterinary service. This means that Dr. Servantez brings her compassionate care directly to your doorstep. This in-home service model is designed to provide the utmost comfort for pets in their final moments, as it eliminates the stress, anxiety, and pain that can be caused by a car ride and a trip to a sterile clinic. Paw In Hand specializes in a specific and deeply compassionate area of veterinary medicine, focusing on end-of-life care to ensure a peaceful passing for your pet.
- In-Home Euthanasia: This is the core service, providing a humane and peaceful way for your pet to pass in the comfort of their own home. The process is gentle and respectful, with Dr. Servantez ensuring your pet is calm and comfortable before the final step.
- Phone Consultation: The service begins with a phone consultation, where Dr. Servantez discusses your pet's condition, explains the euthanasia process, and answers any questions you may have. This allows for a thorough, educational, and compassionate conversation before any decisions are made.
- Cremation Services: Paw In Hand offers cremation services, providing a comprehensive solution for aftercare. This includes both communal cremation (ashes not returned) and private cremation, with ashes returned in an urn. This service handles the logistics so pet parents can focus on grieving.
- IV Catheter Placement: The process involves an IV catheter placement, which ensures the final injection is administered painlessly and smoothly, contributing to a stress-free transition for the pet.
- Communal Cremation: This is an option for pet parents who do not wish to have their pet's ashes returned. It is a respectful and affordable aftercare solution.
- Emergency Medicine: While the primary focus is on in-home euthanasia, the background in emergency medicine helps Dr. Servantez approach each case with the professional skill and understanding needed for a dignified passing.
Paw In Hand is distinguished by its highly specialized and deeply empathetic approach to end-of-life pet care.
- Unmatched Compassion: The most significant highlight, as noted in reviews, is the incredible level of compassion and grace provided by Dr. Servantez. She is described as a "beautiful soul" who handles the process with kindness and respect, treating it as a peaceful transition, not a business transaction.
- In-Home Service Model: The ability to provide services in the comfort of the pet's home is invaluable. It removes the anxiety of a clinic visit, allowing the pet to be in their own environment surrounded by family, which is paramount for a peaceful passing.
- Focus on Education and Support: Dr. Servantez takes the time to explain the entire process in detail, from sedation to the final goodbye. This client education empowers pet parents and helps them feel confident that they are making the most compassionate choice.
- Full-Service Aftercare: By providing a range of cremation options and handling the logistics, Paw In Hand alleviates a significant burden from grieving families. This allows them to focus on saying goodbye without worrying about the practicalities of aftercare.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1There aren't enough stars for me to give Dr. Servantez. We had to say goodbye to our handsome Charlie after 15 years together, and while it is always one of the hardest decisions to make, I am sooo thankful for finding Dr. Servantez. From the initial phone consultation to the final goodbye, she handled everything with such compassion, respect, education, and grace. She did an amazing job explaining the process, but not once did it feel like a business transaction. I am so thankful we got to have a peaceful transition for Charlie and ourselves. I will recommend her services to anyone.
July 03 · Samantha KrolikowskiI cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Servantez. She was compassionate and gentle with both Roo and I during a difficult time. She helped my beautiful girl crossover in a peaceful manner. No stress, no loud noises, just me holding her telling her how much I love her. Thank you so very much Dr. Servantez you’re a beautiful soul.
July 16 · DeAnn WheelessI hate that I have to leave this review at all. But I just moved to the area from cross country and my dog was diagnosed with an ambiguous end, so out of sheer desperation I asked a local Facebook group if they could recommend an at home bridge vet and Paw in Hand was BY FAR the most recommended. I called everyone and frankly Dr S was the only one who even bothered to call me back. She went above and beyond and thanks to her I got answers (the big c, f cancer) almost an entire extra month with my dog and he didn't suffer. I texted and said today is the day and she was at my door less than 5 hours later. She made time. She explained step by step what she was doing, before and as she was doing it and what to expect. She was kind enough to wait while I walked my other dog quick, before starting anything. She stepped out so I could have that time alone with him both before and after he fell asleep for the last time. She even gave me a hug, a real hug before leaving. I can't tell you the last some someone gave me a hug of any kind much less one like that. She was kind, prepared, respectful and it was painless. My dog was ready to go and she is not the kind of vet that will lie to you, she will help tell you if it's time or not if you aren't sure, like I wasn't. I've never had to do this before and thanks to Dr S I got 3 extra weeks and the knowledge I made the right choice. For the dog I thought I didn't want and now don't know how to live without.Captain Jack Barkness February 8 2013- July 13 2025.Thank you Dr S for your compassion, honestly and care.Update: 3 weeks to the day she brought my baby back to me, with beautiful paw and nose prints. She even looked at the newborn kitten I found that very same day, I had just walked in the door when she arrived. I'm honestly kind of sad I don't have a "need" for Dr S now, she's been an immense support and an absolute fountain of knowledge. She will be the ONLY one I call in the future. Did i mention she's affordable? Half the cost of in the vets office and a third of the price of laps of love. She is BUSY so give her grace and time to answer, she will. Thank you again for the hugs and info Dr S. Really. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Because I would have given up if it wasn't for you.Hands down the most compassionate vet I've encountered in 40 states. She's honest. She's informed. She's kind. She's affordable. She treats you and your baby like you're the only ones in the world. 🤍
August 04 · Layla Stryker (Lucy)One of the hardest things to do when you love a pet is to say goodbye. Dr. Servantes helped make that hard thing a little bit easier. She was responsive, quick with availability, compassionate, and so soft and kind. Thanks to her we were able to provide a loving trip over the rainbow for our beloved boy. I am very grateful to her for providing this immeasurably hard, but necessary service with dignity and grace.
July 16 · Janelle BurmasterDr. Servantez was professional and responsive during a very difficult time. I contacted her late at night, and she got back to me early the next morning, adjusting her schedule to visit my home that by noon. She handled the procedure with compassion and kindness. I’d recommend her and at-home euthanasia without question.
