### Services Offered
The core of Dr. Edwards’s practice is her specialization in veterinary acupuncture and its related benefits. She offers a range of services tailored to address chronic conditions and improve the overall well-being of her patients. These services include:
- Veterinary Acupuncture: This is the primary service offered. Dr. Edwards uses fine needles to stimulate specific points on a pet's body, which can help relieve pain, improve nerve function, and promote healing. It is a gentle and effective treatment for many conditions.
- Chronic Pain Management: Pets, just like humans, can suffer from persistent pain due to age, injury, or illness. Dr. Edwards utilizes acupuncture to provide significant relief, helping to manage discomfort and restore mobility without the heavy reliance on medication.
- Joint Pain Treatment: Conditions such as arthritis and dysplasia are common in many breeds. Dr. Edwards's treatments are particularly effective in addressing joint pain, helping to reduce stiffness and improve a pet's ability to move freely. A customer shared a remarkable story about her 11-year-old border collie who, after acupuncture, was able to stand and chase Frisbees again.
- Chronic Disease Management: Beyond pain relief, acupuncture can be part of a broader strategy for managing chronic diseases. By improving circulation and stimulating the body's natural healing processes, it can support a pet's health and vitality. One pet owner recounted how Dr. Edwards’s insight led to the early detection and treatment of their dog's renal disease, demonstrating her comprehensive diagnostic skills.

Edwards Kristin DVM Reviews
I am an acupuncturist for people. Although I know and like several of the local veterinary acupuncturists and refer patients to all of them freely and enthusiastically, Kristin is the person I take my own animals to see.
June 24 · Trey CasimirDr. Edwards is compassionate (with patients and caregivers), thorough, and detail-oriented, always seeking the best outcome for a quality life of the pet. When it was suggested I try acupuncture for my 11 year-old border collie who had lost much of her stamina and had difficulty getting up (forget about chasing her beloved Frisbees), I took her to Dr. Edwards for acupuncture. After the initial visit, my dog was again lively, playful, and able to stand without difficulty. I returned for another visit or two just to be sure, and 2 years later my dog is still able to stand on her own and chase Frisbees!I would like to add that due to Dr. Edwards dedication, insight, and plain old "caring," she recently suggested my dog's symptoms might not be old age but instead early stage renal disease which can be treated if caught early. Thankfully, we had the test done and are now on a protocol that we hope will keep my best friend feeling AOK until the time we need to part.Your pets can't talk to you but Dr. Edwards has the experience, education and innate gift to understand what is troubling them and successfully treat them. If you love your pet as much as it loves you, and it hasn't been feeling well, I'd suggest giving it the gift of a possible new lease on life by making an appointment with Dr. Edwards. My dog is sure happy I did and so am I.
July 22 · R WrightsDuring our 1st visit, Dr. Edwards performed acupuncture on our otherwise healthy 9 yr old Boxer whose back legs and hind end had been deteriorating for the past year due to arthritis and suspected degenerative myelopathy (DM) (DNA tests pending.) I was referred to her by a family member who'd had her do chiropractic work for their horse. Dr. Edwards was quite proactive knowing the situation & actually called me to let me know she had hours at a vet's office close to my home in Montrose 1x per month so I could schedule an appointment sooner. She was extremely professional, courteous, compassionate & knowledgeable. Her bed-side manner, if you will, is positive & reassuring yet she is honest and fully transparent. This was my first time using an acupuncturist & not only was it a wonderfully positive experience, it yielded terrific results as well. It is yet to be seen as to how long the results will last or what frequency the visits will need to be in order to maintain the them. The irrefutable fact is that upon returning home from our visit, our dog got out of the car & walked up the steps by herself. This was the first time she had walked up the steps without falling or without help in over 6 months. That being said, I will definitely be returning to Dr. Edwards for subsequent visits and am anxious to see if what remaining ailments my dog does have will also be eradicated. As a responsible & loving owner of 3 Boxers and an AKC registered breeder, I highly recommend Dr. Edwards and also, acupuncture to anyone who might be skeptical.
