- Emergency Veterinary Care
The emergency veterinarian is a specialist that provides medical care to animal patients at animal hospitals and emergency clinics. It's also typical for emergency veterinarians to work with veterinary internal medicine specialists and surgeons at larger veterinary hospitals.
- Flea / Tick Prevention
Flea and tick prevention consists of a variety of products used to control flea and/or tick infestations on your pet and to prevent infestations inside your home. Fleas are small insects that are parasitic; they feed on blood from animals and/or people.
- Flea Prevention And Control
Flea pills are oral insecticides that help control, treat, and prevent flea infestations in dogs. There are several different types of flea pills out there commonly prescribed by veterinarians. Each has a different active chemical ingredient that targets fleas in a unique way.
- Heartworm Prevention
Heartworm preventives come in different forms, including monthly chewable pills and topical “spot on” medications, as well as an injectable medication that is given every 6 or 12 months. Heartworm preventives are available only by prescription from veterinarians.
- Pet Acupuncture
Acupuncture is used mainly for functional problems such as those involving noninfectious inflammation, paralysis, or pain. For small animals, acupuncture has been used for treating arthritis, hip dysplasia, lick granuloma, feline asthma, diarrhea, and certain reproductive problems.
- Pet Dental Care
Dental health is very important to your pet’s overall health, and dental problems can cause, or be caused by, other health problems. A physical exam combined with appropriate laboratory work can determine if infection in the mouth has occurred. Schedule your pet’s dental exam today.
- Pet Microchipping
A Microchip ID is a small computer chip, about the size of a grain of rice. It is implanted under the animal's skin, between the shoulder blades. Unlike other forms of identification, a Microchip ID cannot be removed or lost. Very often, pets slip out of their collars or lose tags.
- Pet Sitting
- Puppy And Kitten Care
At each visit, your veterinarian will weigh your pet and offer suggestions for the best type of food and treats for optimum growth and vigor. An appropriate diet is necessary for a healthy puppy or kitten and good quality pet food is important.
- Routine Preventative Care
In most cases, preventative care requires a routine visit to your vet to complete a wellness exam, get needed vaccinations, treat or test for potential parasites, and receive prescription medications.
- Spay and Neuter
Spaying is the removal of the female pet's reproductive organs, while neutering refers to the procedure for male pets. When a female dog is spayed, the vet removes her ovaries and usually her uterus as well. When neutering a dog, both testicles are removed.
- Urgent Care
Urgent care falls between emergency care and regular vet visits. This is for pet owners with a pet in non-life threatening condition, seeking urgent medical attention.
- Veterinary Hospital
Veterinary Hospital means a building or place used for diagnosing or surgically or medically treating animals, whether or not animals are kept on the premises for the purpose of treatment, and includes a veterinary clinic.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We have been taking our dog Neo to Homecare Vet Clinic since we adopted him from the shelter 5 years ago. The last few days Neo has had a nasty cough and I called over the July 4th weekend and was put on a last min appointment waiting list and promptly Monday morning I received a text for an appt that afternoon. I can’t express how pleasant every interaction with the team at Homecare has been. From the reception desk to the vet techs, and doctor herself. Everyone on staff is so nice and the care and attention they give Neo is so special even when we moved a bit farther away, we make the journey to their office. Every time we visit we walk away knowing what the plan of care is whatever the illness, we know should we need to try something different we can come back with open arms and everything is always explained in great detail and attention. I love that they follow up to check in as well, truly just a great vets office. I just had to share what a fantastic team they are to anyone who is thinking of taking their pup don’t doubt it! Thank you Homecare Vet team for always being so attentive, kind and caring.
July 09 · Nathalie MarinI've been going to homecare for much of my senior cats retired life. I can't say enough how amazing, compassionate, and willing to give the time their staff are. I started with Dr. Patti the OG cat whisperer, haha. As her practice grew, I was afraid it'd lose the personal feel, but Dr. Schepp really lived up to Dr. Patti's reputation and became my main vet.My cat Bandit passed at 20 years, and I'm so thankful for the 3+ extra years we got together despite the kidney disease. Dr. Schepp did an amazing job getting Bandit the most advanced medical treatment a pet could ask for, with the latest in appetite stimulantion and special diets.I hope to one day bring a new cat to their cute vet house and reconnect. Thanks for everything :).
July 07 · Benjamin GrossMy cats Luca and Leon have been patients of home care vet for 3 years and I couldn’t be happier. I moved last year about an hour away, yet I still go to Dr. patty. She’s so knowledgeable about animals and behavioral issues and that to me is invaluable. My cat Luca was having issues with inappropriate urination. Dr. Patty put a plan in motion and Luca is now accident free! If you care about your animals and want a vet that will treat your pets like family, Homecare vet is the place for you.
March 10 · Daniel NievesHome care Veterinarian group is the most fabulous veterinarian clinic in Princeton and the surrounding areas. Dr. Patty Maslanka / and Dr. Collins are the kindest, warmest and most knowledgeable doctors that I have ever gone to! I will never take my pets anywhere else, ever!
February 15 · Suzanne Van HiseI had previously given this vet a 5-star rating but the last visit was not good, something is changing as we haven't seen Dr. Patti in a while. The exam room was, imo, filthy. I gave them that feedback and was not going to post this review until the new vet call me and said he was sorry the room wasn't "up to my standards." What? It was gross and now my dog is sick. Obviously I don't know if that's the reason she is sick, but I am switching vets. It's a shame as we went there for probably a decade or so.
