Jacqueline Heller, D.V.M. Introduce
For pet owners across the California region, particularly those in Orange County seeking a comprehensive and multi-faceted approach to their pet's health, Jacqueline Heller, D.V.M., provides a distinctive form of Veterinary care. Operating as a Veterinarian focused on integrative and holistic therapies, her practice skillfully blends the best of conventional Western diagnostics with the proven benefits of Eastern Medicine, such as Acupuncture And Herbal Therapy. This Specialty Care approach is particularly beneficial for complex, chronic, or difficult-to-treat conditions where traditional methods alone have reached their limit.
Dr. Heller's philosophy centers on treating the whole animal. As highlighted by a client review, her "expertise in Wholistic approaches" allows her to review comprehensive data—including Lab Test results and medical history—from a "completely different point-of-view." This comprehensive assessment leads to personalized treatment protocols that often involve significant lifestyle and nutritional adjustments, such as transitioning a pet to a raw, organic diet, alongside targeted alternative therapies. This method ensures that the root causes of chronic illness, rather than just the symptoms, are addressed, offering a path to long-term wellness and an improved quality of life.
Clients report rapid and dramatic improvements, even in cases that were previously unresponsive to traditional Disease Treatment. The ability to implement numerous changes that resulted in a Yorkie "improving almost immediately" from a severe case of Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis, and then creating a long-term protocol that allowed the dog to live a "fairly normal doggie life" for many years, underscores the effectiveness of this integrative Specialty Care model. Choosing Dr. Heller's practice means opting for a practitioner committed to Continuous Education in Veterinary Acupuncture and holistic methods, ensuring your pet benefits from a wide spectrum of modern and traditional Medicine Acupuncture solutions.
The practice emphasizes Diagnostic And Therapeutic balance, meaning every treatment is informed by careful testing and observation. Whether the treatment involves Digital Radiography, advanced Diagnostic Testing, or a session of Veterinary Acupuncture, the goal is always to maximize positive outcomes while minimizing potential side effects, a key advantage of utilizing natural and less-invasive therapies.

Jacqueline Heller, D.V.M. Reviews
My Yorkie, Bridget, and I first met Dr. Heller in 2007. Bridget was two-years old and very sick from Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis. The Vet caring for her had tried "everything" to stabilize her. But, her little body wasn't responding. She had gone from 4lbs to 3lbs, in three days. Then, my Yorkie's personal angel entered her life. Our regular Vet was out of town. And, Dr. Heller was handling his patients.Within Dr. Heller's first five minutes with Bridget, she had reviewed all the test results, Bridget's medical history, and all prior treatments. Her expertise in Wholistic approaches gave her the advantage of assessing all the information from a completely different point-of-view.Dr. Heller implemented numerous changes which had Bridget improving almost immediately. The biggest long-term adjustment was feeding Bridget only raw, organic food.Bridget's medical issues will always be with her. But, Dr. Heller created a protocol for Bridget that has allowed her to have a fairly normal doggie life. We are now looking forward to celebrating Bridget's Fourteenth Birthday!Thank you, Dr. Heller!
