★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1AVSG is the best place to take your dog if you need emergency 24 hour service. Staff is highly competent and takes immediate action. AVSG is the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for dogs. This is a real 24 emergency care hospital that has veterinarians on duty 24 hours a day. I took my dog here for an emergency poisoning. As soon as I arrived staff took a urine sample to detect the specific chemical poison. The veterinarian connected my dog to a IV catheter and administered the correct medication to treat the poison via the IV catheter. My dog was kept hydrated via the IV catheter during the entire time he was at AVSG. A liquid prescription nutrient was also administered via the IV catheter. My dog was monitored by the veterinarians continuously during his entire overnight stay at AVSG. If your dog or cat needs emergency care you need to go to AVSG. Time is of the essence. Your dog and cat love you. It's your time to show the love!
February 09 · Jerry CI brought my cat in through the ER for an urgent follow-up after labs with our primary vet came back with significantly elevated kidney values. They took him in immediately and completed a same-day abdominal ultrasound and reviewed results with me as soon as the imaging was done.Communication was very good across the whole team - Dr. Tan, Jaelin, Brian, and Ricky were all great in the clinic, and Michelle and Tiffany were super clear and helpful on the phone. Care was timely, and next steps were outlined clearly. Jaelin really took the time to empathize with my family at discharge and was very patient with my grumpy little guy - really helped make me feel like he was in good hands.
August 24 · Justin GaudierDr. Joyce Wong is an amazing vet doctor. She is so knowledgeable and caring with the animals. I came in such panic and she was so calming and reassuring and spent so much time with me explaining every question I had and took her time with us. Also the technician Sally is also so sweet and patient as well. They are a wonderful staff.
July 25 · Reham MadboulyAll staff (and the doctor) were very friendly and knowledgeable, and the interactions were not rushed. There was enough time to ask questions and reach a consensus on an action plan without feeling pressured. We were helped by two staff members (whose names I unfortunately can't recall) and Dr. Beaman, and they were all wonderful :) We were seen immediately, everyone was friendly, patient, and helpful, and the treatment plan we arrived at together made sense. The veterinarian you see may be inclined to suggest the most comprehensive set of diagnostics along with a multi-night hospitalization, as their incentive is to leave no stone unturned and apply the maximum level of precaution. That being said, it is not a high pressure sales environment, so you can collaboratively narrow down the action plan to the highest-priority items that make sense given your pet’s condition.
July 07 · AaronWe have used the facility twice over the past months. Both times, Dr. Lessard provided our elderly dog with the best possible care. She was thorough, knowledgeable, and devoted a great deal of time both to our dog and to us, explaining the issues and detailing the treatment options. She even conferred with our surgeon (after hours) about the best course to pursue. We remain very grateful to her and AVSG Emerfency!
