Eye Care for Animals - Tustin Introduce
For pet parents in the California region, the health of your dog, cat, or Exotic Animals is a top priority, and nothing is more precious than their sight. When routine Eye Exams at your Family Vet reveal a complex issue like cataracts, glaucoma, or a persistent corneal ulcer, or if your pet requires specialized Ophthalmic Surgery, the next step is a referral to an expert. Eye Care for Animals in Tustin, CA, is a dedicated facility focused entirely on Animal Ophthalmology, providing the highest standard of Veterinary Eye Care available in Orange County.
As a specialty Veterinarian practice, this clinic is not a general Animal Hospital; rather, it is a center of excellence where Veterinary Ophthalmologist doctors—specialists with extensive post-graduate training—focus exclusively on the delicate and intricate work of Animal Eye Care. They possess the advanced equipment and deep knowledge required for precise Diagnosis And Therapy for a wide range of conditions, from common issues like 'cherry eye' (Prolapsed gland of the nictitans) to complex diseases affecting the retina and optic nerve.
The team is committed not only to technical expertise but also to Pet Caring, often praised by clients for the compassionate and thorough approach of the Vets and staff. Whether it's a senior Cockapoo needing an Eyes Check for Glaucoma, or a young Rottweiler/Frenchie mix requiring Reconstructive Surgery for cherry eye, Pet Parents consistently report feeling that their beloved companions are in the hands of specialists who genuinely care. This blend of Advanced Imaging, specialized Diagnostic Procedures, and heart ensures that even in Emergency And Critical Care situations, your pet receives prompt, expert attention.
The importance of Veterinary Ophthalmic care cannot be overstated. Conditions that may be subtle, like Lenticular Sclerosis, or immediately critical, like acute glaucoma, require the immediate attention of a specialist to preserve vision and ensure Pain Control. By working closely with your referring Veterinarian (a Vet Referral), the specialists at Eye Care for Animals integrate their findings into your pet's overall Primary Health Care plan, offering a coordinated approach to Animal Health that focuses on long-term well-being. Appointments Recommended are essential to secure a place, especially for new patients and Emergency Surgery needs.
The Eye Care for Animals clinic is centrally located in Tustin, CA, making it a key resource for the wider Southern California community, particularly those in Orange County and surrounding areas. The facility is strategically placed near a cluster of other veterinary specialists, fostering a collaborative environment for complex cases.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We met Dr. Brinkis and the staff at Tustin eyecare when our Tally (Rottweiler/Frenchie) was only eight months old. She had both cherry eyes. The nurses showed so much love and care before the doctor even came in. Dr. Brinkis came in and discussed everything with us thoroughly. He was very hands-on and even blessed Tally when she sneezed during the examination! We were in the office complex of Dr Brinkis so we same stopped in to visit. I wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude and for them to see the results of their work. A+++ all around!! Thank you, Dr Brinkis and all the staff at Tustin Eyecare!Pics are before she got cherry eye, with cherry eye, after surgery, getting a treat in her cone and current (19 months later)
June 26 · Kelly HigginsMy sweet Cockapoo, Molly, is 15 years old and her eyes looked like she may have cataracts. My vet sent us to Eye Care for Animals for a thorough check up because they thought it could be Glaucoma. Everyone at Eye Care for Animals was so wonderful and caring. Fortunately, Molly does not have Glaucoma, but her near vision is impaired with Lenticular Sclerosis and she’s not in any pain. That was such a relief to get the diagnosis from these wonderful eye specialists!
July 23 · Beth AndriniGreat experience. They were able to accommodate a last-minute appointment. Staff were great, helpful very gentle and sweet with the animals. The doctor is top-notch. I would recommend to all friends and family to take their pets here if they have eye issues.
July 30 · Daniel PetersI had a great experience from the time I made the appointment to the time I checked out. The receptionists were very friendly and made the appointment-making process very easy. At the appointment, I was impressed with how familiar the technician was with my dog's medical history, going back several years. She and Dr. Brinkis were great with my dog, who can growl when anxious and have trouble breathing due to a collapsed trachea. They were very gentle with her and clearly care about their patients. They answered all my questions with thorough explanations and never made me feel rushed. I would highly recommend Eye Care for Animals for anyone looking for an ophthalmologist for their furry companion.
June 28 · K HAmazing eye care for my dog. Sadie required removal of her eye. Eye care was able to get her in quickly. Cost of surgery, after care and follow up visits were explained completely and clearly. Top notch staff and doctor care was exceptional!
