Mountain Avenue Animal Hospital: Kim Helen DVM Introduce
For residents of California, finding a veterinary clinic that is a good fit for their pet and their family is a crucial decision. In Ontario, one of the local options is Mountain Avenue Animal Hospital, which serves the community as a veterinarian for cats and dogs. This practice aims to provide a range of healthcare services, from routine check-ups to more specialized treatments, with a goal of keeping pets healthy and happy.
This article is intended for local California pet owners, providing a factual and informative look at Mountain Avenue Animal Hospital. We will outline their location, what is known about their services, and the practical features they offer. We aim to present a balanced overview, acknowledging both positive and negative feedback from the public, to help you make an informed choice for your pet's healthcare needs.
The public perception of Mountain Avenue Animal Hospital is mixed, as reflected in customer reviews. On one hand, the clinic has built a long-standing relationship with some clients, with one reviewer mentioning a 15-year history of care for their four dogs and giving the clinic the "highest recommendations." This long-term loyalty suggests that for many, the practice has consistently met their needs and provided a welcoming environment. The positive experiences often highlight the staff's dedication and their efforts to make clients feel welcome.
On the other hand, a few very serious negative reviews have been posted, detailing a specific, and tragically negative, outcome for a pet with a pre-existing condition. This review raises significant concerns about the advice and treatment provided. It's important for pet owners to recognize that veterinary medicine, much like human medicine, can have varied outcomes, and that a single review does not necessarily represent the experience of every patient. However, it also highlights the critical importance of a trusting relationship with your veterinarian and the need for open communication and transparency in medical decisions. It also underscores the importance of a pet owner's own research and comfort level with a recommended treatment plan, particularly for pets with complex medical histories.
Mountain Avenue Animal Hospital's website states their commitment to providing "quality veterinary care for cats, and dogs in Ontario, CA and the surrounding communities." They describe their team as committed to "treating our patients with compassionate hearts, gentle hands, kind words, and superior care." They also note that they offer a wide range of services, including medical, diagnostic, surgical, and wellness care. The hospital's physical amenities, which include wheelchair accessible features, aim to make the space accessible and comfortable for clients. Mountain Avenue Animal Hospital: Kim Helen DVM Reviews
Don’t take your cat to this hospital. The doctor doesn’t have enough knowledge about cat with existing conditions. I took my cat to do a follow up check up on his condition because he was previously in ER and diagnosed with pneumonia. The doctor said he will check on him but all he did was ask me to take the cat out of the carrier and he listened to his lung and then confirmed that he had fluid in his lung. I brought my cat’s medical history and X-ray images and medications he is taking. Dr. Oh said he want to take another Xray and will cost me $248. I refused because I don’t see the point taking another x ray because my cat is uncomfortable and is already heard there’s fluid in his lung. So I asked Dr. Oh if he can give him some treatment to make him feel better and started eating. He gave my cat a steroid shot as treatment but my cat later got worse and died that night. I took my cat to ER again then the ER doctor asked what shot he was taken. He said that steroid will suppress his immune system and it doesn’t help his lung infection at all. I am so sad and feel sorry to my cat that I make him suffer during the last stage of his life. So please be careful and do the research before giving any medication to your pet. don’t trust the doctors who pretend are caring for your pet, some are just for earning more money from you.
