★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1BEWARE!!They use your love and concern for your four-legged family member against you. The exam was exceptionally short but they came back with an exceptionally long list of items that were critical! Told me my dog had to be hospitalized! "My dog could have cancer!" The vet didn't listen to anything I was telling him about my dog's behavior at home. I had another veterinarian review the labs this place did and he totally disagreed. They put me into a blind panic, thank goodness another vet was patient and kind reviewing the labs with me.The vet tech was as pushy or more so than the vet. Don't come here unless you want to be frightened and pay an exceptional amount of money for absolutely nothing.
September 02 · z burkAmazing care and service. The team at Ocean Veterinarian Hospital in Seal Beach was friendly, helpful, and incredibly patient. They turned a stressful visit into a positive experience for both us and our pup.
August 09 · Rodrigo RMy daughter and I recently took our cat, Hazy, for her checkup at Ocean Veterinary Hospital. We--and Hazy--were all VERY pleased with how friendly and professional the staff was. Their facility was modern and nice and we feel very lucky to have them close by so we can get there quickly if we need urgent care at some point.
August 21 · Eilif TrondsenI have been very happy with my visits to Ocean Veterinary Hospital. The care is great and I appreciate that they can see my dogs outside of "normal business hours" (after 5 and over the weekends). I find that really helpful in my schedule. They also have complimentary coffee and water in the waiting room and are always playing a happy movie.
June 12 · Sandra LevyCalled them around 5:30 pm on a weeknight after my family was unable to reach our regular vet. I explained that my cat had come home with scratches and puncture wounds across the right side of his face, and it was leaking and swelling. The receptionist got us in quickly, and we were seen by a lovely vet tech named Jennifer and Dr. Deborah. They were both very attentive listeners, writing down all our info / concerns, and so sweet to our cat, who is usually a terror at the vet. They gave him a thorough exam (which we were not present for; they took him to the back) and returned with their findings and an itemized list of recommended treatments.Jennifer personally went over every item on the list and let us know what everything could cost. There was absolutely no pressure to pay for everything on the list; she actually mentioned that some things would be for peace of mind (ex. a comprehensive blood panel and sending a culture sample to a lab) and what would be most effective (ex. cleaning the wound and prescribing antibiotics for the infection). She gave us some time to decide, and once we did, she came back with a new list with only the treatment items we had chosen. There was no pressure to pre-pay before the services were complete. We left our cat with them for about three hours while they sedated him, cleaned the wound, and performed some eye tests. When we picked him up, he was calm and looked so much better! As we've been giving him the prescribed medicine this week, the swelling is almost completely down and the wound is starting to dry up. We have a follow-up appointment scheduled in a few days. I am so grateful to everyone at Ocean Veterinary Hospital for their help and kind treatment of my beloved cat!
