Quaker Animal Hospital is a well-regarded veterinary clinic known for its personalized and compassionate approach. At the heart of this practice is a team of professionals who understand that a pet is a cherished member of the family. The review from a long-time client highlights this philosophy perfectly, stating that the staff is "wonderful" and the veterinarian is "understanding" and "Compassionate." This commitment to treating clients like people, not numbers, fosters a trusting relationship that is crucial during times of stress, such as when a pet is dealing with a serious health issue. Another customer’s enthusiastic praise, calling it the “Best Vet hospital ever,” underscores the exceptional quality of care and the superb level of service provided. This combination of top-tier professional skill and heartfelt empathy is what truly defines the experience at Quaker Animal Hospital.
The location of a veterinary clinic is a key convenience for pet owners. Quaker Animal Hospital is situated at 324 Quaker Rd Unit 4, Queensbury, NY 12804, USA. This accessible location serves not only the Queensbury community but also attracts clients who are willing to travel a significant distance for the quality of care provided. One customer's review highlights this dedication, noting that they "travel about 2 hours" to get to the hospital after they moved, a powerful testament to the value they place on the services. The hospital is also committed to physical accessibility, offering a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible parking lot. These features ensure that the clinic is a welcoming and convenient destination for all pet owners, regardless of their mobility needs.
Based on publicly available information and common veterinary practices, Quaker Animal Hospital offers a wide range of services designed to support a pet’s health from youth through their senior years. While a detailed list was not provided, their status as an animal hospital and veterinarian clinic suggests a comprehensive set of offerings. These would typically include:
Routine Wellness Care: Regular physical exams, vaccinations, and preventive health screenings to keep pets healthy and catch potential issues early.
Diagnostic Services: The use of an in-house lab and digital radiology for quick and accurate diagnosis of internal and external conditions.
Surgery: The hospital performs surgical procedures, with a focus on providing safe and effective care. This would include common procedures like spaying and neutering, as well as more complex operations.
Dental Care: Comprehensive dental services to ensure your pet’s oral health, which is vital for their overall well-being.
Senior Pet Care: Specialized care for older pets, including pain management and treatment plans to improve their quality of life as they age.
Behavioral and Nutritional Counseling: Providing professional advice to address behavioral issues and dietary needs, helping to promote a happy and healthy life for your pet.
Urgent and Emergency Care: The ability to handle unexpected medical needs, providing a critical resource for pet owners when their animal needs immediate attention.
End-of-Life Care: Compassionate and understanding support for pets with terminal illnesses and for their owners during the difficult time of euthanasia, focusing on dignity and comfort.
The standout features of Quaker Animal Hospital are what make it a truly special place for pet owners.
Compassionate and Conservative Care: As one reviewer noted, the veterinarian is "compassionate and conservative." This means they are not inclined to recommend "pricey, extra treatment" that is unnecessary. This mindfulness of the pet's quality of life and the owner’s financial situation builds an incredible amount of trust and loyalty. The fact that a customer who had moved two hours away chose to continue with this hospital speaks volumes about their honest and ethical approach to treatment and pricing.
Dedicated Staff: The positive reviews consistently highlight the entire team. The staff is described as "wonderful," which shows that the caring attitude extends beyond just the veterinarians to every person who interacts with clients and their pets. This holistic approach to customer service creates a positive and reassuring atmosphere.
Affordability: In a world where veterinary care can be prohibitively expensive, the hospital's reasonable pricing is a huge draw. A customer review directly compares the hospital’s quote to another vet's, noting a significant difference, which ultimately solidified their decision to remain a client. This commitment to being "mindful of quality of life for both the pet and owner" includes financial considerations, a feature that is deeply appreciated by the local community.
Accessibility: The wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking lot are important features that demonstrate a commitment to serving all members of the Queensbury community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My dog is 17, having heart issues. She was understanding, Compassionate and didn't treat you like a number. Her staff is wonderful too. It's a win win. I'm already referring her.
April 08 · Shelly SmithBest Vet hospital ever!! Price is great and care is superb. Dr. Dragonslayer is professional, compassionate and conservative. She's not one to recommend pricey, extra treatment. She's mindful of quality of life for both the pet and owner. We travel about 2 hours to get to her now. After we moved and found a new vet who wanted to charge about 8 times what Dr Dragonslayer quoted on second opinion visit, we decided to stay with her. We're so glad we did.
February 24 · Ellie HuntWe brought our new rescue, Fergus in to be treated for a sore paw. Turned out to be worse than we thought. Our Fergus was treated so well at this excellent hospital. All the staff are warm, friendly, courteous, sympathetic, and professional. I've been to a lot of vet clinics and hospitals in my 55 years of caring for kitties, and I consider Quaker Animal Hospital to be among the very best! We finally found a great local vet!! Thank you all for being so kind and caring! You folks are the BEST!
