Team Tait's Every Animal Matters Introduce
For cat lovers and animal welfare advocates across Connecticut, the mission of providing accessible and affordable veterinary care is a top priority. In the fight against feline overpopulation and the struggle to ensure every cat receives essential health services, a specialized organization can make all the difference. Team Tait's Every Animal Matters, known as TEAM, is a unique non-profit veterinary service dedicated to this very cause. Instead of a traditional, full-service animal hospital, TEAM operates as a spay/neuter and vaccination clinic, focusing on these critical services to help control the state's stray and feral cat population, while also providing an invaluable resource for domestic cat owners. This singular focus allows them to provide high-quality care at a significantly lower cost, making vital veterinary procedures accessible to a wider range of the Connecticut community. The organization's commitment to its mission is evident in the care they provide, offering a compassionate and efficient experience that prioritizes the health and well-being of every cat they serve. For pet owners who may be on a fixed income or simply looking for a more affordable way to get their cat sterilized and vaccinated, TEAM is an essential and trusted resource that is well-known throughout the state. The fact that the organization has been working on this mission since 1997 and has sterilized and vaccinated over 225,000 cats speaks volumes about their dedication and effectiveness. Their work is a vital part of the animal welfare ecosystem in Connecticut, and their services are a direct response to a significant community need.
The philosophy at Team Tait's Every Animal Matters is rooted in a deep sense of compassion and a commitment to animal welfare. As a non-profit organization, their primary goal is not profit, but the health and well-being of the feline population in Connecticut. This dedication is consistently highlighted in customer reviews. A review from a cat owner praised their "amazing experience" and described the staff as "very sweet people." The reviewer also noted the thoughtful follow-up, mentioning that the clinic "called the next day to check on my fur baby." This level of personal care and attention is a rare and highly valued aspect of the service, demonstrating that despite their high volume, they treat each animal as an individual. Another glowing review from a cat owner who had both of their pets neutered by TEAM speaks to the "most compassionate staff who really care about what they do." This customer expressed gratitude for the excellent care provided during the surgical procedures. The consistent feedback about the caring and compassionate nature of the staff underscores a key feature of the organization: they are a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about their mission. This is a significant differentiator from many other clinics, and it creates a sense of trust and security for pet owners, knowing that their cats are in truly caring hands. The team's collective experience and dedication to their specific cause make them a respected leader in feline care in the state.
While the organization's primary focus is on a mobile clinic that travels to various communities, its physical headquarters and main contact point are located at 1201 Boston Post Rd, Westbrook, CT 06498, USA. This centralized location serves as the administrative hub for the organization. The mobile clinic aspect, however, is what defines TEAM's accessibility. By traveling to different towns, they bring essential veterinary services closer to pet owners who might have difficulty with transportation or access to a traditional clinic. The availability of a wheelchair-accessible parking lot at their main location and likely at their various mobile clinic stops is a thoughtful amenity that ensures the service is open to all members of the community. Because appointments are recommended, the organization can manage its schedule and provide efficient service without long wait times, which is a major benefit for pet owners. The mobile model also allows TEAM to serve both domestic cats and feral cats through their TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release) programs, further extending their reach and impact on the state's feline population. This blend of a physical presence and a mobile, community-focused approach ensures that TEAM can provide its valuable services to a wide and diverse audience across Connecticut, making their services not only affordable but also highly convenient.
Team Tait's Every Animal Matters is a highly specialized veterinary service, with a focus on core preventative and spay/neuter procedures for cats. Compassionate and Caring Staff: Testimonials consistently highlight the staff's kindness, compassion, and commitment to the animals they serve. The follow-up calls and personal attention create a trusting and positive experience for pet owners, despite the high volume of patients.

April 27 · Donna FrattiniTruly a great organization. Both of my cats have been neutered by TEAM and both times we were met with the most compassionate staff who really care about what they do. They do an excellent job and take amazing care of the cats they operate on. Thank you so much to the TEAM staff for all you do for our fur babies!
October 23 · Jewel TLike many others have commented I had a very negative experience with the extremely unprofessional and condescending executive director after calling to inform them that a cat we brought to them to be spayed died 2 days after the procedure. I am a CVT with over 30 years experience in the veterinary field. I simply called to inform them of the miscommunication I had with one of their employees who told me she believed the cat was pregnant and would have the doctor verify and if it was she would call me at 1030am and have me pick up, as spaying a pregnant cat is higher risk. I never received that call and then was scolded upon pickup for not doing a better job of screening the cat for pregnancy. I was then badgered and belittled by the executive director when I called to discuss that miscommunication. I had a very nice conversation with the pleasant woman who initially answered my call. I was not seeking a reimbursement, nor was I placing blame. I simply wanted to notify them of the miscommunication between the staff and myself at the door of the van that day. I wanted to avoid that miscommunication for future clients. But instead I was cut off and told I should not tell her how to operate her business and employees and that I obviously was calling because I didn't read the consent form that said they would spay her despite her reproductive status. The whole interaction was one where the executive director was on defense, with no sympathy for the loss of the cat and even questioning the necropsy; asking me where we had it done, where I worked, was I an active veterinary nurse, etc etc. I am appreciative that TEAM is available to help with spayed and neuters, but sadly because of the 2 negative experiences will never recommend or use them again. The unprofessional behavior of the woman doing admittance (which ultimately led to the cat being spayed even though she was high risk) and the executive director was so uncalled for.RIP Honey
