The Village Vet Housecalls is based out of 534 Main St #492, Hampden, MA 01036, USA. While this is their official business address, the true location of their service is your own home. For pet owners in Massachusetts, especially those in the Hampden area, The Village Vet Housecalls offers a uniquely valuable service that is truly worth choosing. The most compelling reason is the fundamental shift in the veterinary care experience. By bringing the clinic to your home, Dr. Johnson eliminates the common anxieties associated with vet visits. This is particularly beneficial for animals who are naturally stressed by travel, senior pets with mobility issues, or even pets who simply feel more secure in their own environment. The low-stress setting allows for more accurate examinations and makes the entire process more comfortable for everyone involved.
The level of personal care and compassion is another major differentiator. As the glowing customer reviews highlight, Dr. Johnson’s sincere empathy is not just a marketing point—it is a core part of her practice. Her ability to provide a "peaceful passing" and be a supportive presence during "a difficult time" for pets and their owners speaks volumes about her dedication. This is a level of service that is hard to find in a busy clinic setting, where time is often at a premium.
Furthermore, the comprehensive range of services provided in-home means that you don't have to sacrifice quality for convenience. From routine puppy/kitten check-ups and vaccinations to managing chronic conditions and even urgent care, The Village Vet Housecalls is a one-stop solution for a wide variety of your pet’s needs. The availability of an online pharmacy and quick, responsive communication add to the overall ease and professionalism of the service. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Just realizing now I never left a review - better late than never! Dr. Johnson assisted us with a peaceful passing in 2023. She met us with sincere empathy, kindness, and helped shape a horrible experience into a beautiful moment for us in our final moments with our dog Brody. Prior to her mobile vet service, I brought my other dogs to her for wellness exams at second chance veterinary clinic in Springfield MA. She has always stood out to us as a caring and compassionate professional. We highly recommend her and have sent her contact info to several friends and family who needed assistance with at home euthanasia. Most recently, she agreed to help provide mobile services for a feral cat owe have become attached to and is very quick to reply and answer any questions we have. She is truly wonderful and I love that she is able to come to our home for some of our more sensitive animals who are unable to tolerate car rides to the vet. Thank you for your services, professionalism, and genuinely caring nature! 🩷
August 01 · Kailey MoranI switched to in-home care hoping to reduce my cat's anxiety about going to the vet, and I'm so glad I did. Every visit with Dr. Johnson was a pleasant, professional, low-stress experience in which the little patient was treated with gentleness, warmth, and respect. When kitty became terminally ill, Dr. Johnson was kind, supportive, and generous with her time and advice to help maintain our girl's quality of life until it was time to let her go. The last visit was as peaceful for our sweet girl as it possibly could have been. I couldn't have asked for better care for her. Dr. Johnson really is wonderful with both animals and people, and I can't speak highly enough of her care and kindness during a difficult time.
August 13 · Kat S.Dr. Johnson is a brilliant veterinarian and incredible human. When we moved our biggest concern was finding a new vet in this area. We have a house of 5 rescues, dogs and cats, and they are our family. Dr. Johnson took the time to carefully review each of their medical records, provided guidance and medical support for each of our pets unique needs. She is everything you want in a vet, caring, medically on point, detailed with impeccable record keeping, listens and communicates through medical treatment options, cares for your pets as her family and prices are always fair with your pets best interest in mind. Thank you, Dr. Johnson for being you! So grateful we found you.
September 16 · Tami Elaine PrinceI suffer from agoraphobia. So I have trouble leaving my house. I was looking for a vet that did house calls and and can deal with large breed dogs. As I have an Alaskan malamute, 2 English mastiffs, and a cane Corso. I emailed her told her about myself and the dogs I had. She emailed me back in a timely manner. She even helped me collect all of their vet records as I was having a hard time doing it!!(thank you so much for that!) Foxy, Moose, Luna and Boston all made fast friends with Dr. Johnson. She is very knowledgeable about my XL breeds. I would recommend to anyone!Thank you Village Vet,Angie, Foxy, Moose, Luna, and Boston
