In-store pickup: This option allows for the convenience of online ordering with the ability to quickly pick up products at the store.

The "Quick visit" tag suggests a layout and business model that is designed for efficiency, making it easy for customers to get what they need and be on their way. Barking Dog Bakery and Feed is a multi-faceted business that offers a curated selection of pet products and services. Its offerings go beyond those of a standard pet supply store.
In-House Bakery: A key feature of the business is its on-site bakery. Here, they craft a variety of fresh-baked dog treats, including cookies, cupcakes, and custom birthday cakes. These items are made with high-quality, often locally sourced, and non-allergenic ingredients, providing a healthy and delicious option for celebrating a pet's special day or just as a daily treat.
Holistic Pet Food and Supplements: The store offers a carefully selected range of holistic dog and cat food brands, including raw, freeze-dried, and dry kibble options. The staff is knowledgeable and can provide recommendations and dietary consultations to help pet owners choose the best food for their animals.
Self-Serve Dog Wash: The store offers a self-service "personal bathing facilities" or do-it-yourself dog wash. This convenient service provides all the necessary supplies, from shampoos to towels and dryers, making it easy for customers to bathe their dogs without the mess at home.
Pet Accessories: Beyond food and treats, the store also carries a selection of high-quality accessories, including toys, waterproof dog leashes, and other gear.
The combination of these services creates a business that is both a specialty food shop and a practical service provider for local pet owners.
Several features make Barking Dog Bakery and Feed a standout in the Atlanta pet market.
Expert and Friendly Staff: A consistent highlight in positive customer reviews is the staff. They are described as "so sweet, helpful," and able to provide "great recommendations." This personal level of service is a hallmark of a successful small business and is highly valued by customers who seek knowledgeable advice.
Unique, In-House Products: The presence of a bakery that creates fresh, healthy dog treats on-site is a major differentiator. This unique offering provides a special way for pet owners to celebrate their pets and ensure they are getting wholesome treats.
Community Focus: As a local, family-owned business, the store fosters a sense of community. The owners are passionate about their work and aim to provide a "peak experience" for their customers, creating a welcoming and engaging environment.
Pet-Friendly Environment: The business encourages customers to bring their leashed dogs inside while shopping. While this is often a positive, it can also lead to challenges, as highlighted in a negative review where a customer had an upsetting experience with other misbehaving dogs. This aspect of the business can be both a feature and a potential risk for sensitive or reactive dogs.
The features of this business are a mix of its great service and unique offerings, alongside the inherent risks of a dog-friendly retail environment.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Always a great experience at Barking Dog. The staff is always so sweet, helpful in whatever I need help finding and give me great recommendations for my fur babies! They have great selection of healthy treats, made in house doggie biscuits, excellent personal bathing facilities, friendly user booking and so much more! My fur babies definitely approve.
August 30 · Fabiola EspiñaMy dog loved the goodies for his birthday yesterday. I got him some treats, cupcakes, and cookies. Also the birthday hat and bandanna was cute. That I really liked from here. However, the shopping experience was not okay! There was a crowd full of misbehaved dogs! One even went after my dog barking, growling, and pulling at the owner. I had to get in between them so that dog didn’t get close to mine. I was so angry at this point. I was just trying to make my boys day special by doing something special for his birthday. Other dogs there were barking at mine too and one lady had to hold her dog up to pass by me so her dog would lunge at mine too. Mine didn’t even go after any of theirs. He’s a good boy and a show dog so he knows how to behave around other dogs. I feel a place like that people should be responsible and not bring reactive dogs who try to go after others! Putting your dog in such situations is horrible if they can’t behave. And the business should tell people to leave if someone’s dog is going after another person’s dog!! Especially in a small environment. Like they saw all this happen. I left that place with my heart beating fast from being upset and angry. If a dog gets attacked in there it can cause trauma to any dog! So irresponsible owners. Don’t bring dogs in who CAN’T behave! And definitely uncalled for the business seeing all this happen and they did absolutely nothing about it.
April 19 · Yalette AguirreI want to be a dog whose owner shops here! They provide amazing baked treats with limited ingredients, and human-grade quality. Our dog LOVES when we get treats from here, and I recommend this store to any dog owners. Beyond their treats you can find toys, supplements, and even some goodies for cats too!
June 19 · Taylor WesterlindI brought my babygirl Nova here to celebrate her half birthday. Betsy was absolutely amazing in helping me find treats and finding things she would like. She absolutely loves the caviar treats!!! I’ll most certainly be back to treat my girl here!
August 06 · Lamonda PeteWe took our 12 year old Shorkie here for his birthday celebration, in March. We spoil him a lot giving he is on three heart medications but acts like a pup.The team was amazing!!! They showered him with affection and FREE treats. We bought him a giraffe animal (chosen by him), handkerchief, hat (he hated it and shook until it came off), and carrot cake bites with real bacon bits on top. Chase LOVED his carrot cake. I paid over $60 but it was worth watching his lil tail wag while in sensory overload. We will definitely visit again.
