I was trying to purchase a bird from there when a lady with blue colored hair started telling me to get away from the bird that the bird is aggressive just rude about the whole situation. I explained that maybe she doesn't know much about birds and proceeded to tell "Whatever"You would think she would be more helpful given that is her job instead I decided to step away from petco felt bad because the bird is lovely, but unfortunately I can't do business with someone so rude or a company that allows this kind of behavior towards animals or customersThis is also not the first time this has happened with her.Now I will start shopping at Theresa's country feed and pet they sell the same items, but the customer service is amazing

Just walked out of the store in Thousand Oaks. Walk-in are supposedly welcome for nail trim. I tried to call in advance with no answer. I waited at the desk where I was clearly seen but not acknowledged for almost 20 min. Someone finally came and said they only do walk ins when they fit them in, so don’t advertise walking welcome and waste my time. I will never return to this PetCo.

While they have a good selection of things for cats and dogs I can’t look away from what I saw in the reptile section. No idea when these stores our gonna change the poor treatment of these animals. I saw a leopard gecko with a nasty skin issue like it looked like a lightbulb burn or some trauma. It needed vet care. I won’t be returning to this location and I really hope petco and other big chain pet stores clean up their act soon. Don’t ever buy an animal other than maybe a fish from these places and do your research.

I am visiting my parents for the week and I came into your store in Thousand Oaks, California and was greeted by Lyrikah. I was very excited to get my puppy groomed today. The customer service I received was so beyond what was necessary. Lyrikah explained to me that my puppy had matted hair that was extremely close to her sensitive skin and being a first time groom at an actual groomer she was not a candidate for the shave that she was needing. Your associate took the time to explain to me how it was that my maltipoo who is not yet four months old had this horrible matting. I had no idea what I was doing wrong. She took the extra time to give me some websites to look at. I left your store, feeling confident about caring for my dog.I just wanted you to know you have an amazing employee who really cares about her job and the animals that she grooms.Our family will continue to use Petco Grooming for all of our dogs and hope that we continue to come across amazing employees, such as Lyrikah.Robin BensonAustin, Texas
