Each year, thousands of pets go missing, and many don’t make it back home. Many pets (especially indoor pets) don’t wear collars or tags. Even if your pet wears a collar and identification tag, collars can break off and tags can become damaged and unreadable, so these forms of identification may not be enough to ensure your pet’s safe return. Your pet needs a form of identification that is reliable and can’t get lost, stolen, or damaged. A microchip is a safe, simple form of identification that can significantly increase the chance that your pet will return safely.
- Minor Oral Surgery
- Nail Trimming
Our hospital offers nail trimming for your pet. Trimming nails is not just an essential part of grooming, it is important for your pet’s health as well. Untrimmed nails may break, bleed profusely and even become infected. Long nails often get caught on furniture or clothing and may be torn loose from the toe. Long nails can even curl and grow back into your pet’s footpad, making it painful or difficult to walk. If you are hearing your pet’s nails click on the floor or the nails are getting caught in the rug, chances are it is time for a trim. Ask our staff if you are interested in learning how to properly trim your pet’s nails at home or call to schedule an appointment for a nail trim.

- Preventive Care
Our hospital encourages preventive medicine. It is much easier and more cost effective to take steps to keep your pet healthy, rather than treat them once they become sick. Because pets are living longer, they are experiencing increased problems with chronic illnesses and cancer. The earlier a problem is diagnosed and a treatment plan started, the better the outcome. We recommend at least annual wellness examinations by one of our veterinarians in order to detect any changes or illness in pets as they age. In addition to a physical examination, other diagnostic tests (laboratory work, urinalysis, fecal exam, x-rays, etc) are often recommended if a problem is detected.

- Senior Pet Care
When your pet has been with you for many years—not only do they become irreplaceable members of the family, they also need a little extra care. As your pet grows older we recommend that “wellness visits” become more frequent and that we see your pet at least twice a year (every 6 months) for senior bloodwork and senior care. Bloodwork for seniors may include urinalysis, checking kidney and liver functions, complete blood cell counts, and thyroid functioning. It is important to have this bloodwork performed as it can uncover systemic abnormalities that a physical examination may not detect.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1They got my pup in same day for initial visit! Second visit was a follow up and they assessed the situation same day also and fixed her ear in a couple hours.Next day followed up to see if she had any symptoms or issues and she’s doing great!!!Staff is really nice and it’s really clean :)
July 30 · Julie BlairI’ve been taking my dogs to Dr. Lannen for five years. She’s kind, compassionate, and incredibly knowledgeable, yet always down-to-earth. Even after I moved and have to drive farther to get to her office, I still choose to stay with her.
June 25 · Fang ZhengSuper sweet employees. Kind, caring, and clean! The little mini fridge and coffee station are a vibe also 😁 most importantly, great care for my kitty! Can’t wait to bring the rest of the gang over for their check up! Thanks much!!!
February 28 · Berola echmailAmazing and compassionate staff. Everyone at the practice is wonderful from the vets to the techs and all of the additional associates. Very caring people. Dr. Lannen is amazing. She clearly loves animals and has a very thoughtful ‘bed side manner’ with pet parents.P. S. One of their happy patients pictured.
May 08 · Sue LuckinbillVery frustrating, been coming to this facility for years. Started as a child with my family dogs, had to put three animals down here and really enjoyed the vets. But lately the service has been absolutely terrible.Few months back was told my dogs teeth were absolutely terrible and would need to get in talks with getting them extracted. Took my same dog back for their yearly checkup and shots and a different vet said there are no issues or concerns with your dogs teeth. How is that possible within the same practice??Had an appointment today for my second dog at 4:30 today, showed up at 4:20, checked in and was told it would be a “few” minutes until a room opens up. After waiting 40 minutes, overhearing a client and one of the vets in the room talking about a recent camping trip and the guns they were shooting. Guess what? Still no room open. Mind you the appointment today, was for two yearly checkup shots. 5:05 was finally let into a room, just to wait another 10 minutes not to be seen or talked too. Was it not possible to grab my dog, take him in the back and give him the two shots without needing to get into a room? There was tech’s walking from the front to the back the entire time.Walked out of the room at 5:15 after not being seen. Told the front desk lady I had to leave and was told to just call and reschedule. After years of visiting this facility, I will be taking both my dogs elsewhere to receive yearly shots and any other care.
