What is worth choosing about Charles Street Animal Clinic for residents of Massachusetts is its blend of medical expertise and a genuinely compassionate approach. The clinic’s commitment to providing comprehensive care, from routine check-ups to advanced diagnostics and surgery, makes it a reliable partner for pet owners throughout their animal's life. The positive feedback about the staff's friendliness and knowledge highlights a key reason to choose this clinic: the peace of mind that comes from knowing your pet is in the hands of caring and skilled professionals. The review praising a doctor for their ability to handle a cat's exam without causing stress demonstrates a high level of empathy and expertise, which is a significant factor for any pet owner.
However, it is also important to consider the feedback from all customers. One review raises very serious allegations of "animal cruelty" and a pending investigation, which is a point of concern for any pet owner. While a positive review can highlight the strengths of a clinic, a negative review, especially one of this nature, underscores the importance of thorough research. For a local user in Boston, this means carefully weighing the positive aspects—such as the clinic’s comprehensive services, its inclusive identity as an LGBTQ+ and women-owned business, and its knowledgeable staff—against serious claims of poor animal care. Ultimately, the decision to choose a veterinary clinic is a personal one, and this information provides a balanced perspective, allowing pet owners to assess the risks and benefits based on their own priorities and comfort level.

August 12 · Brooke HadidDr. Wosko saw my cat Nala for a check up today. He’s extraordinarily friendly and did a great job with Nala’s exam (she didn’t hiss once being at the vet)! He’s also incredibly knowledgeable and gives very reasonable advice/recommendations. Overall, I highly recommend this clinic!
October 08 · Praveen PMy dog is treated with patience and kindness the moment we enter the facility. Love this location! Very knowledgeable and caring staff and the doctors are always so helpful and always go above and beyond explaining and educating us in order to squash our worries. Thank you Charles Street Animal Clinic!-Milo M.
June 16 · UnbrandedMy cat and I visited this clinic last winter and I’ve been debating writing this review. Well, here it is.It was a strange experience. The receptionist was very nice and knowledgeable on the phone. However the doctor… I get the impression Dr. Wosko doesn’t like cats and/or is judgmental of your address. During the exam he did his best to avoid interactions with my cat. My cat is very friendly and greets everyone he meets—fluffy Siberian cuddle muffin. Dr Wosko kept pushing him away like he didn’t want to touch him. He also had his back turned to us most of the time.Exam was perfunctory at best. Dr Wosko was more interested in talking about his own broken wrist than acknowledging my cat.The other oddity was how he mentioned my address. I live around the corner, but I chose to write down my second address on the form (also located in Boston, in a different neighborhood). The way he said it — it was odd. Furthermore, my address was not relevant to the exam; it was unnecessary to mention it. Is this a classist thing? This clinic is in a nice area. I came here because I live nearby and it’s convenient. I expected a certain level of care and attention given the area and how cute this clinic is.I left with a bad taste and decided to go elsewhere for veterinary care because this fluffy cuddle muffin deserves it. I’m glad I did because the place I ended going to is very nice. The doctors and staff were super affectionate and warm, which reassured me that I had made the right decision not to return here.Sorry for this poor review. But clearly this experience left a mark.
July 27 · S SWe have been using their services for many years and love them. They are really great for the day to day pet services. However, this is just a clinic, so there are times that you will need to use their parent hospital, South Bay Animal Hospital. One good thing is the doctors travel between the two facilities so that you can see the same doctor in either place.
