★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1While away on a mini vacation, my beautiful older mare foundered, and by the time I returned and got Dr Grady to come out to the house, it was too late for Coin. Dr. Grady and her two techs were wonderful with both my mare and me, which I was crying like a baby. One of the techs was sweet enough to take our final picture together and braid, tie, and cut her tail and mane for me. Dr. Grady set up the removal for me, as I was a wreck by this time. Lord, I miss her greatly, and it still hurts so much. Thank you Durango Equine for having such wonderful, compassionate people. Thank you to Bailey for recommending them.
September 22 · Misty TaylorHave used Durango Equine for several years. So grateful for their thoughtful care of my TB geldings who like to be dramatic and needy. We’ve had a couple different vets from the clinic over the years, they are always very knowledgeable. Always willing to answer question after question. Even repetitive ones to help me get the info to stick.Have had a few emergencies, did I mention dramatic?, always pleasant and flexible even on after hours call outs. Even for what turn out to not be emergencies.Dr. Cooper has a great “stall side” manner. Very good with my goofy boys. Very patient and calming with them. Does a great job teaching while assessing. She does her very best to give a wide range of options for the budget, while maintaining comfort and humane care for her patients. We are currently dealing with a challenging situation with one of the boys and she has been a frequent visitor. So great to be able to rely on her calm and her patience with my anxious self as well as the boys. The staff are all really great to work with as well. From the front desk to the assistants everyone is so consistently good to interface with. Great at passing messages and getting back to me. Handle my boys so well, loving on them as their own horses.Medical care for large animals is never going to be cheap, but I feel like Durango does a good job giving excellent, valuable care at a reasonable price. Buckeye is lucky to have such a great team be a part of the community.
May 22 · Carrie WrightThank you Dr Elizonda and Dani for helping Starky uncover his disease. Your kindness, empathy and compassion shone through as you helped us with Starky’s care.We were able to work through his final hours before all his pain was removed. Thank you
July 13 · Alex PCame here for an after hours colick, I told the doc over the phone I was on a budget and she kindly offered payment plans and offered different estimates. We devised a plan over the phone and I loaded my horse and came to the clinic. I got there my horse was wanting to thrash. She oiled him and then Coldly demanded full payment. I argued about the payment plan and Dr Cooper refused to come back around to agreeing to payments and the treatment we discussed over the phone. She refused to medicate my horse and with ice in her heart she told me to leave. As I exited the building with an unsedated unmedicated horse who wanted to thrash she Coldly closed the door and left me to load by myself. What a terrible facility! What a terrible vet! Please do not support this place! There are more reviews just like mine if you look back. This doc Cooper is a disgrace of a vet and a human.
May 18 · Ryan BratcherDr. Morgan Poisson was wonderful with me and my 27 year old mare Lady that I had to put down. It was a very difficult decision for me and she was so kind, and thoughtful. It made a very tough time as peaceful and comfortable as it could be for both of us. Thank you Morgan for that.
