★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Not recommended unless it’s a life-or-death emergency.Brought my calm, muzzled chow chow for an ear issue — vet was clearly afraid of him and insisted on sedation just to check his ear. After unnecessary tests, they diagnosed a simple $20 yeast ear infection but charged me $900.Two weeks later, they tried to charge me for another “different vet” visit, gave allergy meds without explaining side effects, and my dog started vomiting. No probiotic, no root cause explanation — just more bills.I left with a sicker dog than I came in with. Feels more about money than care.
August 14 · Yuliya KingI can’t say enough good things about Encino Pet Hospital and Emergency! From the moment we arrived, the staff was compassionate, professional, and incredibly attentive. They took the time to explain everything clearly, made sure my pet was as comfortable as possible, and treated us with such kindness during a stressful time. The veterinarians are knowledgeable and thorough, and the entire team went above and beyond to make sure we were supported and informed throughout the process. You can truly feel how much they care about both pets and their owners.I’m so grateful to have this amazing team nearby and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Encino Pet Hospital to anyone looking for excellent, compassionate veterinary care — whether it’s for routine visits or an emergency. Thank you for everything you do!
July 16 · farzad yousheiThis clinic might be okay for true emergencies when your pet’s life is at risk — but for anything else, avoid.Brought my calm, fully trained chow chow (muzzled for safety) in for an ear issue. The vet acted terrified — literally jumped to the corner when my dog turned his head. They insisted on sedation just to check his ear, ran multiple tests, and somehow “discovered” it was a basic ear infection easily treated with $20 drops. Instead, they cleaned his ear, gave antibiotics and painkillers, and charged me $900.Two weeks later, at a follow-up, they tried to charge me again for another “different vet” visit. My dog was still scratching, so they prescribed allergy pills — without explaining side effects. After one dose, he started vomiting. No probiotics suggested, no discussion that ear infections can be allergy-related.I came in with a dog who needed simple care and left with one who was sicker than before. Now I’m paying another vet to fix the mess. The ear infection is back, but at least now I can treat it for $20 — not $900.
August 14 · Yuliya KingI have taken both cats here and had wonderful experiences both times. One of my cats is very nervous during vet visits but the staff was so gentle that my cat let the vet pet her! Dr. Hernandez was very kind and answered all of my questions thoroughly! They also call the next day to check on your pet.
July 15 · Blanca MoniqueIf I could give this place a 10/5 stars I absolutely would. The care, compassion, efficiency, professionalism, and genuineness this facility and its members carry is remarkable. I had to rush my cat to Access on friday 06/20 because she experienced horrible symptoms from having bladder stones. Immediately based off the ER visit I knew I did not want my cat to be treated there, I started calling around and this place provided some of the best service I have experienced in my life. From immediately connecting me to their manager who called their surgeon that allowed for my cat to have immediate surgery the next morning. On top of the great initial help to me, they only improved on it from providing great care to my cat while she was there to calling me once she was discharged to check in on her as well. Can’t thank this place enough and it’s amazing staff. If you love your pet, do yourself a favor and come here!!
