Family VetCare of Phoenix Introduce
Family VetCare of Phoenix stands as a cornerstone of comprehensive veterinary care in the Arizona community. Situated at 3908 E Chandler Blvd, this facility is far more than just a standard veterinary office; it is a full-service animal hospital, a kennel, and a dog day care center. This unique combination of services allows them to serve as a single destination for a wide range of your pet's needs, from routine check-ups and advanced surgical procedures to temporary boarding and day care. The clinic’s mission, as their name suggests, is to treat every pet and their human family like their own, ensuring a warm, compassionate, and professional experience.
The staff at Family VetCare is widely recognized for their kindness and empathy, especially during difficult times. A deeply moving review from a pet owner whose cat had to be put down highlighted the staff's "sooo much kindness" and how they treated the aging cat with "so much dignity." The compassion shown to both the pet and the family, including giving them all the time they needed to say goodbye and sending a sympathy card afterward, is a testament to the clinic’s core values. This level of care and understanding makes a difficult situation as gentle as possible.
However, it is also important for pet owners to be prepared for the financial aspect of veterinary care. One customer noted their shock at a $500 bill for a routine wellness check with no major findings. This highlights a need for pet owners to proactively discuss potential costs and ask for disclosures on charges for diagnostic tests like blood panels or screenings before they are performed. Despite this, the care itself was good, and the customer appreciated the follow-up, which shows the clinical team's commitment to patient health.
Family VetCare of Phoenix is located at 3908 E Chandler Blvd, Phoenix, AZ 85048, USA. Its convenient location in the Phoenix area makes it a key resource for residents. The clinic encourages appointments, which helps them manage the flow of patients and dedicate the necessary time to each pet. The facility itself is designed with accessibility in mind, providing a comfortable and welcoming environment for all.
The clinic features a wheelchair-accessible car park, a wheelchair-accessible entrance, and a wheelchair-accessible toilet. These amenities ensure that all pet owners, regardless of their mobility, can easily navigate the clinic to get the care their pets need. The presence of a clean and accessible restroom further adds to the comfort and convenience of a potentially long or stressful visit. The thoughtful design of the facility reflects Family VetCare’s commitment to serving the entire community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great (but still sad haha) experience here. The vet and staff here treated my cat with sooo much kindness as he was getting old. A few months ago, we made the decision to put our cat down because he was almost 20 years old, becoming very frail, and had multiple health issues. The vet was so compassionate and sweet towards my cat. The staff seemed to truly care about him and my family. They gave us all the time we wanted to say goodbye. They were very respectful and treated my cat so much dignity. I highly recommend this clinic. Very kind and knowledgeable staff. I am very happy with how this clinic operates. ❤️ They also sent us a sympathy card in the mail!! So unbelievably kind of them!! It is hard to say goodbye to a pet, but its is a kindness to not allow them to suffer.
July 23 · BridgetThe care from FVC is good and we appreciate the follow-up.However, when we brought our cat in for a wellness check, with no medical or behavior issues, we we shocked to receive a $500 bill for a completely normal visit. No findings of illness or concerns by the Dr. we're brought up.Charges like that should be disclosed and discussed to determine medical necessity before moving forward and we are disappointed that that was not the case.
August 10 · Ed CarrHorrendous experience! My older cat was having some issues walking. We went in and almost $1000 for Xray and bloodwork. Then over the next week or 2 he quickly got much worse due to apparent bone cancer and muscle loss in the back legs. He seemed to be paralyzed. Having bathroom problems and dragging his back legs. Over $300 more to put him to sleep. Unfortunately, they did an extremely bad job. When my other cat had to be put to sleep, they did a much better job at a place in Florida. But this place decided to make my cat suffer putting in catheters for some unknown reason without any pain killers! He was crying so horribly. Then I had to say goodbye when he was in a disturbing condition. He was shaking with his tongue sticking out. He did not seem to be aware of anything or recognize me. Now I'm traumatized having to live with this awful memory forever. I would highly recommend not going here! The place in Florida just did a simple injection to make my other cat relax. Then a second injection to stop his heart. No idea why this place couldn't do it that way to avoid the trauma and pain.Update: If your standard operating procedure is to jam two catheters in a cat's arms with zero pain killer that's absurd. How could that not be painful? Like I said, why not just use a regular injection for the pain killer? Makes much more sense. Then a second regular injection to make his heart stop. I don't know if you are overcomplicating things to get more money or what.
March 13 · JWe love Dr. Mott! We have been going here since relocating from Flagstaff in 2015. We will never go anywhere else. Dr. Mott and the techs have always been so careful and kind to our girls. Our youngest is always fearful no matter what but they treat her so nice and calm that I have no worries when they take her back. I know businesses get busy so if you are there during a busy time there can be a wait even with appointments. I have been left in a room for an hour or so a few times over the years, most recently during a pick up I came early but waited almost an hour in the room because of a miscommunication. But she was promptly brought out once it was found out I was still waiting.
August 03 · Nichole YazzieSo I completely goofed up and blanked out on our first appointment, which requires the deposit, and they were so unbelievably kind and let me come in late. When I got there they had everything ready. The vet was so kind and my dogs both loved him. So glad we found this incredibly kind group of people that so obviously love the animals as much as the owners.
