★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I want to thank everyone at Long Beach Animal Hospital for treating my pineapple bird so great, specially to Dr. Yamamoto,🥰 Piña had surgery back in May, it took a little while to recover but now Piña is happy and flying all over the house again 😊 I love this place 🦜
August 09 · Lola YepsonThe staff are very kind and compassionate. The prices are very reasonable and they don't try to push things your pet doesn't need. For fellow rabbit owners I highly recommend!
August 21 · lara hiehleI had been struggling to find a rabbit vet that won't charge an arm and a leg for their services and I am very very happy to say that I found one at this clinic. Dr. Yamamoto took such good care of my boy Bruce during both of his recent visits. She talked to me about every possible treatment option and what she believed would be the best course of action. The whole staff as well is super kind and loving. They called a few days after his initial visits to check in on him which was so nice of them, making appointments is always super easy and stress free. I couldn't be happier with this place. I feel so much more at ease knowing I have a reliable and readily available place to take any my babies should they need medical attention.
July 21 · Luis FigueroaWe trusted the boarding of our African Grey Parrot to LB Animal Hospital many times over the past 20 years. It is quite a different situation when your pet has verbal skills to tell you what they don't or do like, in your own language. Our parrot is spoiled at home, so it says something that he shows every indication of being absolutely thrilled when his carrier comes out and he realizes he will be visiting LB Animal Hospital. We know our parrot very well, and after countless boarding visits when we take a vacation, he has always shown every indication that he enjoyed time with his "other friends" at LB Animal Hospital. We can enjoy our vacation without any worry of our bird's care under the watchful and caring attention of LB Animal Hospital.
March 05 · Keith TylerIf I could give zero stars I would. I came to this vet on July 1st because my rabbit was wheezing, and having trouble breathing. Dr Loper came in and examined my rabbit. Heard his heart, lungs and said everything sounded fine. Nothing to worry about. No exams, scans nothing, just believed it was a respiratory infection and gave him antibiotics. I told him, I have other rabbits, does he need to isolated from the others… then tells me to put him away from the others for ten days. So the days go by, the meds seem to be fine but I can tell he was still struggling to breathe, and he was becoming more lethargic. Until 7/13 almost two weeks after I took him to the emergency vet because now he was refusing to eat. All he wanted to do was lay. Emergency vet did a CT and saw nothing was wrong with his lungs or heart, it was never a respiratory infection, but another underlying issue that was causing him not to eat.I wish Dr loper could have done some scans, or SOMETHING else that would have given me these answers instead of waiting 13 days for my rabbit to get worse under my care. I wasted valuable time and money going here because I got nothing out of it. My 8 year old rabbit died that night and I keep going back and forth thinking if I would have taken him somewhere else, and gotten a different result would he still be here. A $75 exam visit for him to just hear his heart and lungs and nothing else, knowing how delicate rabbits are, I don’t think it was right.I’d say be wary of taking your exotic pet here.
