LOVE Animal Hospital and Urgent Care Introduce
For pet owners in the California region, having immediate access to high-quality, compassionate veterinary care is not just a convenience—it’s a necessity. LOVE Animal Hospital and Urgent Care in Huntington Beach, CA, stands out by bridging the gap between a standard veterinary clinic and a 24-hour emergency hospital. Operating with extended hours from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM, seven days a week, this facility ensures that comprehensive care, same-day urgent appointments, and critical services are available during the crucial early morning and late evening hours when most traditional clinics are closed.
The hospital is appropriately named, as client testimonials consistently highlight the tremendous "love and compassion" shown by the entire staff. This deep-seated commitment to patient well-being is evident in stories of life-saving surgeries and the tireless, constant updates provided to worried owners, even during major holidays like Christmas. Dr. Reid Forman, DVM, a key member of the team with a strong interest in emergency medicine and surgery, is frequently praised for his patient, tender-hearted approach, and skill in explaining complex medical situations. This combination of advanced medical capability and profound emotional support makes LOVE Animal Hospital a trusted "saving grace" for Orange County families facing their pet’s hardest moments.
Beyond urgent care, the facility functions as a comprehensive veterinarian, offering Preventative Care and detailed Veterinary Wellness Plans for every stage of a pet’s life, from Puppy Wellness Packages and Kitten Wellness Packages through to Dog Senior Care. The availability of advanced diagnostics, specialized surgeries, and a focus on both physical and financial support—noting that the care is accessible even for lower-income pet owners—cements LOVE Animal Hospital as a vital community resource dedicated to the long-term health and happiness of California's companion animals. The clinic is well-equipped with modern technology, including Radiology Ultrasound capabilities, to ensure accurate and timely diagnoses.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Love Animal Hospital is appropriately named because the amount of love, patience, and care they have consistently shown me and my fur baby through some of the hardest moments has been a saving grace. My kitten Monsieur had to have immediate life-saving surgery on Christmas eve last year and I spent that night mentally and emotionally prepping to loose him. They called me with updates through the night and when I got the call on Christmas day that he made it through and I could pick him up that afternoon, it was the best gift I’ve ever been given.I am personally lower income and my pet insurance doesn’t always cover, but I can’t imagine going anywhere else. I feel safe and supported here. Very very grateful that I found them. My baby wouldn’t be here without Dr. Foreman and their care team. He is a year old today, and a healthy cat!
August 07 · Terra AceThe love and compassion of the entire staff is so wonderful! Dr. Forman is a tender hearted and patient doctor. And there was a staff member there that held my scared kitty cat Chloe and she melted calmly in his arms. My precious Joshua has a short time remaining with us and Dr. Forman was so patient in explaining everything to us and he listened to us with patience. Thank you Love Animal Hospital!
August 07 · Lisa MusilWe found Love Animal Hospital in July of 2024. We reached out with a suffering senior dog with stomach cancer whose situation changed quickly:/ Our current vet was unavailable. Dr Ryan Smith met with us and we could not have been more grateful. Availability combined with Professionalism and compassion is tough to find. We have been bringing my sons now 15 month old puppy to Love since he got her last year and could not be happier! Confidence in knowing our vet will be there when needed is the BEST!! If you’re looking for a new vet, I would highly recommend checking out the team at Love!
August 07 · Teri HaddonDr. Smith has taken care of my Fur. Baby since she was 3 months old, I almost lost her a year and a 1/2 ago.He did surgery on her. He called me and reassured me every step of the way.And you would never know anything happened to her. He is also great for calming me down. And she gets her blood work done. He calls me usually the next day as soon as it comes in, which really relieves me. Dr. Smith is a wonderful veterinarian. I followed him from Cerritos, to Huntington Beach which is a little far for me, but it's worth the drive as I trust him completely with my Fur. Baby.Thank you, Dr. Smith.
September 01 · Judy DiazMy dog Lolly had a laceration on her inner ear and the first vet clinic was not able to flush her ear and would have to have her come back to get the rest of the process taken care of. The vet then referred me to Love Animal Hospital. The team at Love were so kind and supportive from the moment I called to find out if I could bring her in last night. Once I arrived I felt welcomed and Lolly was immediately taken back to get checked out. They were thorough with explaining the next steps for helping take care of Lolly’s ear and for the cost of the surgery. When I picked Lolly up this morning the new team was just as friendly and helpful. The checkout process was easy and the Vet tech was very patient with all of my recovery & follow up questions. Lolly will go back in 2 weeks for her next check up and I’m so thankful that I was referred to go to Love Animal Hospital!!
