★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Nothing worse than having to bring your pet to an emergency vet while on vacation! Northward Animal Emergency Clinic were amazing. Open on a holiday weekend, took my dog right in. Everyone was compassionate from the lovely ladies at the front desk, pet care tech and the doctors. Great communication and care. Thankful we found them and got out dog back to health and to us the next day.
May 27 · Erin HanlonMy experience with this vet was fantastic. I have a senior animal with several chronic health conditions that have required care from Blue Pearl animal hospital (the major chain) on several occasions, but this place blows them out of the water. I had to visit during a visit to Lake Placid and the receptionist and doctor were super compassionate, wait times were short, they were very gentle with my dog and personable with me, and they took the time to fully explain her diagnosis and treatment plans. I wish they were my local emergency vet and not just a one time solution during a vacation!
August 31 · Olivia JaindlThe staff at this hospital has always been friendly. We have been their for multiple reasons and they are a vital resource in our area. They recently helped us say goodbye to our dog, Hank, and the process was caring, respectful, and sensitive to our feelings. 10/10 would highly recommend.
August 06 · Pat LawrenceWe recently required the care of Northway Emergency for our dog Scarlett. Scarlett ended up having to stay at the hospital for treatment and monitoring for 2 nights. The team ant Northway Emergency took excellent care of Scarlett. She had previously never been away from home and tends to be a nervous dog. The staff were so kind and caring, heard my concerns, and did everything they could to make Scarlett (and I) comfortable and happy during her stay. From the receptionist to the vet techs and Vet I spoke to throughout the 2 day stay, every SINGLE one was so compassionate and caring. This made ALL the difference when dealing with a scary/unknown situation.I would absolutely entrust the care of my animals to Northway Emergency again in the future.
April 19 · Rebecca BaldwinI have nothing but good things to say about this clinic. Our 15 year old buddy Dusty suddenly collapsed around 10 pm August 8th. He lost all control of his limbs. I picked him off the floor and my wife drove us to the Northway Animal Clinic. He was immediately placed with care on a gurney and suddenly circled by t least 5 people in scrubs. While we filled out paperwork a nurse came out and asked for some background. We told her he was 15, has had some misteps and trips sometimes, he was also inconitinent at night. After having used another emergency vet for our other pup we were expecting to be told how much money we needed to put down for him to be seen. THAT was not the case. The nurse LITERALLY said, "we can wait for the money part till after" !!!!!! We were absolutely amazed and stunned at the same time. They checked in with us a few times and then finally we were told that it was a degenerative neurological issue coupled with a possible stroke. Dusty was 15 and still loved to run despite his daily tripping and misteps... But she told us he would not walk again. i KNEW in my heart he would not be that pup that would be ok to lay there and soil himself. They said we could seek out Neurological help that they could not provide . OR we could spend some time with him and help him pass at home. They gave him some good medication to help his anxiety Once Dusty came out they rolled the gurney out to the car for us and i picked him up and put him in our car. THEN they asked for payment .. not a second earlier..Which i may add was MORE tha reasonable... .. Dr Ashraf and the Staff at Northway Animal Emergency Clinic were outstanding. The compassion , care and genuine love these people give was nothing short of extrordinary. I completely reccomend them. What fantastic people they are. Becasue of them Dusty was able to come home where he could peacefully cross the rainbow bridge. We were able to confidently make that decision becasue of Northways comprehensive care and all the information provided to us.
