★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Grab a coffee for this review…💁🏻♀️After my fur baby Bugsy was diagnosed with BOAS syndrome and a month of pure hell running to emergency rooms with him in distress, I was looking so hard for a great surgeon a specialist and God sent me Dr. Puccio. Her bio speaks for itself super impressive but I still needed to meet with her. On the day of the consultation, I overheard a client who was checking out at the reception desk going on and on about how she follows Dr. Puccio wherever she goes, and now this is her own practice and she was happy and she’s brought multiple animals to Dr Puccio and she is the best. When I found Dr Puccio I told my primary veterinarian her name and that I made an appointment, when she heard she told me she was going to recommend her to me and that Dr Puccio is a highly regarded surgeon on Long Island and one of the best at what she does. All this information was More affirmation for me that I was in the right place and in excellent hands.Alberto a tech Who works with Dr. Puccio took us in an exam room. Alberto is one of the most kind, friendly, gentle, compassionate people I am so happy to now know. Dr. Puccio comes into the room and there’s this overwhelming calmness about her that just screams confidence! As she’s explaining the procedure step-by-step to me and my fiancé, there’s no rushing. She’s listening to everything we have to say, our concerns and anxiousness. We were put at ease, there wasn’t one question she couldn’t answer. Dr. Puccio looks you directly in your eyes when speaking, I like that a lot. I got so many good vibes from her.. she examined Bugsy as we spoke and was gentle my Bugsy was calm with her. I made the appointment for the surgery the following week, asap. When the doctor exited the room, I was very emotional about Bugsy we had gone through so much the last month. I started to tear up and cry. Alberto sat beside me and comforted me. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated that. He let me know that he was going to be there for us. Anytime I had a question day/night I was able to communicate with him. he was like a surgical coordinator, a therapist, a lifeline and a best friend all in one during such a hard time for me. I cannot thank him enough, he is such a good soul.Bugsy got his surgery and I was informed several times throughout the day On what was happening next by the staff and Dr. Puccio. The overnight team took pictures and sent them to me, to bring me some Comfort. Dr. Puccio also reached out to my primary care veterinarian to update her on the outcome of the surgery, which I thought was incredible. The surgical area and entire facility is immaculate, and from what I understand, it was built from the ground up and is a year old. It is Absolutely stunning with state of the art equipment. I cannot recommend Vscli enough if you have a dog that needs surgery, this is the place to be. This particular surgery was risky, Scary And I needed more than just a surgeon. I needed someone who was highly skilled, very experienced, had bedside manners, who communicated with me had patience and compassion. Dr. Puccio possesses all of those amazing qualities. She called me back every time I called about his medications, eating habits, even the littlest questions I had, that a tech or receptionist can answer, She called back and made sure that she spoke with me and that I understood everything. We never felt alone in Bugsy’s recovery it showed me her good heart and nature.I just left my follow up appointment after over two weeks of recovery and my Bugsy is breathing like a baby. I feel That he’s doing exceptionally well because of the skill, the expertise, experience, the compassion, the heart And the best of care from Dr. Puccio and her amazing team. I am so grateful to them For adding years to my Bugsy’s life. You leave feeling like they are family and you’ve known them for ages. Dr. Puccio is a gem! 💎I cannot thank everyone here enough!!! Dr. Puccio, Alberto, Tracy, Tricia, Margaret, Emily, Amy, Jessica and Dave. God bless you always! 🙏🏼🐾❤️
April 25 · Members onlyI can't express how grateful I am to have found VSCLI Veterinary Clinic for my dog Mason. After researching several veterinary orthopedics in Long Island, I decided to take Mason to see Dr. Short at VSCLI, and it turned out to be the best decision I could have made. From the moment we walked into the clinic, I was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and the professionalism of the staff. They truly understand that pets are family, and this care and compassion really shine through.Dr. Short took the time to conduct a thorough examination of Mason and patiently walked me through the entire diagnosis process. I appreciated the clear explanations regarding the ligament injury, and he made sure I understood all the options available before deciding on a treatment plan. I never felt rushed or pressured, which is often a concern when seeking veterinary care. The surgical procedure for Mason went perfectly, and I am thrilled to report that he is now back to his normal, playful self! The follow-up care was just as comprehensive, and the team's dedication to ensuring a smooth recovery was evident. What stood out most was the fair pricing at VSCLI. In a time when veterinary costs can often be overwhelming, I was pleasantly surprised by the transparency in their pricing and the value of the care we received. It’s hard to find veterinarians who balance expertise and affordability while genuinely caring for their patients. As a first responder, I understand the importance of trust and reliability in any service, and VSCLI embodies these qualities. If you’re looking for exceptional veterinary care in Long Island, I wholeheartedly recommend VSCLI Veterinary Clinic. They have the best vets who truly care about your pets, and I can’t thank them enough for their outstanding service to both Mason and me!

July 15 · Ms.We brought our one-year-old Boerboel, Lexie, to VSCLI when she became seriously ill with sepsis. It was a tough and emotional time for us, but from the moment we arrived, the team there made a big difference. The surgeons took her in right away for emergency surgery, and she spent the next 10 days in the ICU.Throughout her stay, we were truly impressed by the level of care she received. The nurses, techs, and doctors were not only professional and attentive, but also incredibly kind. They treated Lexie like their own and kept us informed every step of the way, which really helped ease our worries. It wasn’t clear in the beginning whether she would pull through, but thanks to their dedication and constant care, Lexie made it. We’re so grateful to the entire team at VSCLI for helping our girl recover and for the compassion they showed our family during such a stressful time.
