★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I have never personally visited Pasternak Veterinary, but based on my friend’s recommendation, I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing.Last Thursday, my dog developed swelling under her eye, so my husband took her to the Pasternak Vet the next day. Dr. Henry Pasternak examined her, prescribed antibiotics, and told my husband that she might have been bitten by something in the grass. When my husband asked if it could be related to her tooth, the vet checked and assured him there was nothing wrong with her teeth. We followed Dr. Pasternak’s instructions and administered the antibiotics, but instead of improving, the swelling worsened, leading to an open wound that started bleeding. My husband took her back to the clinic, where they drained the abscess and finally acknowledged that it was related to her tooth. What frustrates me the most is that the Dr. misdiagnosed my dog, resulting in unnecessary pain and bleeding. We ended up being charged $350 for two visits, and now we have to take our puppy to a dental clinic to have the tooth removed. This situation could have been avoided if the correct antibiotics had been prescribed and proper guidance given regarding the dental issue. If you love your pet, I strongly recommend avoiding this clinic. I regret trusting my friend’e recommendation and taking my puppy here.
December 30 · S FDr. Pasternak is the best vet I have ever met in my life and that’s no exaggeration. He has given me time with my senior chihuahua that I didn’t think I would get. He has guided me through every step of his final chapter and I am so grateful to him and his amazing team. Thank you to everyone at Pasternak Vet Center from Nikki & Dexter!
March 24 · Nikki FaragSwitch and bait as far as pricing! That’s the beginning and the doc doesn’t say anything or give you more than a minute. The manager was not truthful either. So many options that are better in the area. Take your time and find a better one. Shouldn’t be hard. We did. It was close to home so we tried it. Convenient is not always the best answer.
May 20 · Carl RealMy experience with Dr Pasternak he prescribed prednisone to Lucy but did not tell us that it should be taken in the morning and Lucy had very bad side effects. The dosage he prescribed 5 mg is for a much larger dog maximumdosagefor my dog should have been 2.5 Milligrams. my dog weighed only 11 pounds and was more than 20 years old. This was a major factor in her not healing the side effects contributed greatly to her deathHe gave fecal transplants that made things worse . He prescribed an antibiotic whose main side effect is nausea when she wasn't eating . he Gave her ozone therapy which did nothing. His ego is very strong and he says just do everything I say. Things he prescribed has not helped. Lucy's condition got worse everything he saw her.i was sent to him to get a certain herb called Yunnan Baiyao by dr. Lisa at Malibu pet clinic but was never given it.After spending thousands of dollars Lucy is had a worse quality of life. He basically was a major contributor to her demiseAt the time writing this Lucy has passed away mostly due to the effects of prednisone. Dr Pasternak should retire right away as he is burnt out and hurting people's dogs and catswith all sincerity Jay D
May 29 · Jay DaviesMy Cocker Spaniel, Goldy, has been under Dr. Pasternak's care for about four years. Last summer, she developed a stubborn ear infection persisting for three months. Despite trying various drops, pills, and ointments with little success, Dr. Pasternak surprised me by prescribing supplements instead of antibiotics. Remarkably, my 12-year-old dog is now as lively as a puppy, her ears have cleared up, cysts around her body have diminished, and her energy is through the roof. Dr. Pasternak's holistic approach, integrating traditional and alternative therapies, impressed me with its comprehensive care. His emphasis on addressing root causes rather than just symptoms reflects a commitment to overall pet well-being. Clear communication and personalized treatment plans further contributed to this positive experience.Thank you Dr.Pasternak and your team!
