PAW REHAB Pacific Animal Wellness Rehabilitation Center Introduce
For pet owners in California, ensuring their animal companions maintain a high quality of life, especially as they age or recover from an injury, is a top priority. PAW REHAB Pacific Animal Wellness Rehabilitation Center, nestled in the heart of Sherman Oaks, is a unique and invaluable resource dedicated to doing just that. Unlike a traditional veterinary clinic that focuses on general medicine, PAW REHAB specializes in a wide range of rehabilitation, wellness, and integrative medicine services. Their mission is to restore and improve the mobility, comfort, and overall well-being of dogs and cats through a variety of advanced, non-invasive therapies.
This center is more than just an animal hospital; it is a sanctuary for healing and wellness. The team at PAW REHAB works closely with primary care veterinarians to provide a holistic and comprehensive approach to your pet’s health. They understand that a pet's pain and mobility issues can be deeply concerning for owners, and they are committed to providing compassionate care that not only treats the physical ailment but also supports the emotional and mental well-being of the pet and its family. The positive outcomes they achieve, as highlighted in customer reviews, are a testament to their specialized knowledge and dedicated approach.
PAW REHAB is conveniently located at 14942 Ventura Blvd in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood of Los Angeles. Its location on Ventura Boulevard makes it easily accessible for residents across the San Fernando Valley and beyond. The center has made a conscious effort to ensure its facility is welcoming and accessible for all.
For clients arriving by car, there is a wheelchair-accessible car park, which is particularly helpful when transporting a pet with mobility challenges. The entrance to the facility is also wheelchair-accessible, creating a smooth and stress-free entry point. Inside, the amenities, including a wheelchair-accessible toilet, are designed to make the experience comfortable for every visitor. Given the specialized nature of the services, appointments are required, ensuring that each pet receives the full attention and time needed for their therapy sessions.
PAW REHAB's services are highly specialized, focusing on improving a pet's physical function and managing chronic conditions. Their offerings are a blend of traditional veterinary medicine and alternative therapies.
Physical Rehabilitation: This is the core of their practice. Services include therapeutic exercises, hydrotherapy/aquatic therapy, and mobility solutions. This is particularly beneficial for pets recovering from injuries like a cruciate ligament injury, those with arthritis, or senior pets losing mobility. One review praised the center for helping a dog increase its strength and mobility after discovering disc issues.
Pain Management and Integrative Medicine: PAW REHAB offers comprehensive pain management through various methods, including acupuncture, Chinese medicine, laser therapy, and shockwave therapy. These alternative and integrative therapies are designed to reduce pain and inflammation and promote natural healing.
Holistic and Wellness Consultations: They provide holistic consultations that integrate traditional Chinese veterinary medicine, food therapy, and prescription diets. The center also offers nutritional and fitness counseling to help with weight management, which is crucial for a pet's joint health and overall wellness.
Therapeutic Services: Beyond physical therapy, the clinic provides therapeutic laser treatments and offers behavioral support and emotional support for pets, recognizing the connection between a pet's physical and mental health. They also provide sanitary grooming to keep pets comfortable and clean during their treatment.
Medical Support: The center can also handle medical management of conditions like arthritis and chronic pain. They provide diagnostic services and some surgical procedures, such as soft tissue surgeries and tumor removal, to complement their rehabilitation focus.
PAW REHAB Pacific Animal Wellness Rehabilitation Center stands out in the Los Angeles veterinary landscape due to its specialized focus and unique approach to pet care.
Specialized Expertise: The center is not a general vet clinic but a dedicated rehabilitation facility. This means the staff and veterinarians have deep knowledge and expertise in physical therapy and integrative medicine, offering a level of care that general practices cannot. As a review mentions, the staff is "incredible" and "genuinely cares about your pet getting better, not just continuous treatment for no reason."
Holistic and Integrative Approach: By combining physical rehabilitation with therapies like acupuncture and Chinese medicine, PAW REHAB treats the whole animal. This holistic approach can lead to better, more sustainable results, particularly for chronic conditions.
Personalized Care and Client Education: The team at PAW REHAB takes the time to work with pet owners, teaching them about home care and exercises. A customer review noted how the team taught them "so much about home care" which made a huge difference in their dog's recovery, empowering them to be an active participant in their pet's healing process.
Positive and Compassionate Environment: Reviews consistently highlight the compassionate and caring nature of the staff. The environment is described as one where pets are "spoiled," helping to reduce the stress associated with veterinary visits and making the rehabilitation process a more positive experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My dog has been going here twice a week for the past few months after a scary incident when we discovered she has disc issues that caused her pain and hindered her mobility. I was really worried about her quality of life and her primary vet recommend trying out Paw Rehab. The team here has been amazing — not only have they helped her increase her strength and mobility, but they’ve also taught me so much about home care, exercises, and compression techniques we can continue between visits. She’s doing so much better now — she’s springy, happy, and clearly feeling more like herself again. I’m so grateful for the care, compassion, and knowledge they’ve given us!
April 04 · Layla HabahbehThe entire staff at PAW is incredible! They have helpled my sweet baby Maeve feel so much better and she is always so spoiled when she goes in! The staff genuinely cares about your pet getting better, not just continuous treatment for no reason! I cannot say enough about these wonderful people!
June 01 · Lindsey MallardThe staff here is so good with their furry clients! They are professional and care very much for the outcome of their clients. My big guy, who is 10, has done so well with his PT plan. He is getting stronger and his energy level is high. We avoided knee surgery which was our goal. Dr. Little provides a plan based on her assessment and makes any adjustments as needed. Seeking their help was the best decision I made for my angel.
August 13 · N PonceCan’t say enough about PAW and their staff. We adopted a 8 week old handicapped puppy and brought him to PAW. The love and therapy given our fur baby has been amazing. Highly recommended for your pets needs.
December 14 · RaySo many red flags from this place.- They don't allow any clients in the room during your dogs PT sessions or the consult.- After your $400-ish consult they email about literally 50 pages of PDFs, but no rough outline of what the PT plan will be. I called for clarification and all they sent was a vague email about what exercises they may do.- After the consult, if the vet recommends 6 sessions for your pet, they all have to be paid for up front and are non-refundable, even though they told me on the phone that they are in fact refundable. The agreement they sent me stated otherwise.- They require your dog be on an outdated parasite medication to do hydrotherapy (as well as flea, tick, heartworm and up to date on vaccinations). My dog has IBD and can not take chewable parasite medication, so he was unable to do hydrotherapy which was the only reason I brought him to Paw Rehab.- I booked my dog's appointment 3 weeks in advance. I never heard any follow up from Paw Rehab. I called the day before his appointment, turns out he would not be allowed to do hydrotherapy as he can't take their required parasite medication. They never contacted me to ensure he was good to go for his appointment. They're now refusing to refund me for the consult even though they have such strict and unusual requirements for hydrotherapy that were not communicated to me until the day before his appointment. It is not common for PT places to require so much for hydrotherapy, especially an anti parasite medication. My vet told me my dog should not be on a parasite medication as it could cause an IBD flare up for him. They wasted my time, delaying my dog's care, and my money back their unusual policies and poor communication.I’m now paying another $350 for another PT consult at CARE where they allow clients in the room and dont require random parasite medications.
