Canine Rehabilitation: A cornerstone of their practice, this program focuses on restoring function and mobility after injury, surgery, or due to chronic conditions like arthritis. Their rehabilitation programs are designed to be a safe and effective way to help dogs regain strength and range of motion.
Cruciate Surgery: As part of their surgical offerings, they provide expert cruciate ligament repair, a common procedure for active dogs. Their team is experienced in both the surgery itself and the critical post-operative care required for a successful recovery.
TPLO Surgery: A highly specialized surgical procedure, Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) is performed to stabilize the knee joint after a torn cranial cruciate ligament. Spay and Neutering: In addition to specialized procedures, they also offer these essential wellness services, contributing to responsible pet ownership and the long-term health of the canine population in the area.
Veterinary Acupuncture: This ancient practice is used to manage pain, reduce inflammation, and promote healing in dogs, offering a complementary or alternative approach to traditional medical treatments. It can be particularly effective for senior dogs or those with chronic pain.
Water Therapy: A highly effective form of physical therapy, water therapy provides low-impact exercise that is gentle on joints and muscles. It is an excellent tool for rehabilitation, weight management, and simply providing a fun, stimulating activity for dogs, as noted by customers who bring their pups for weekly swimming sessions.
Massage Therapy: Canine massage helps to relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, and promote relaxation, which can be beneficial for dogs recovering from injury or dealing with anxiety and stiffness.
Medical Treatment: Beyond their specialized offerings, they also provide general medical treatment and care, ensuring a holistic approach to your dog’s health.
Rehabilitation Program: A structured and personalized plan created to guide a dog through their recovery journey, incorporating a variety of therapies to achieve the best possible outcome.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Our pups love paws in motion! We try to do swimming once a week. Suzy and Ashley are great and very patient with the dogs especially when they are being stubborn and goofy. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for recreational activities for their pups!
June 20 · Paige-Cecily RamosDr Starr is excellent. My buddy had TPLO surgery in 2022, and is now recovering from the same on his other leg this year (2023). When we pulled into the parking lot for the first visit this year, his tail went into speed wag. If he enjoys it, I’m all for it.Dr Starr respects her patients and is very gentle and encouraging with them. With the amount of time required for recovery from this surgery, and the accompanying chances for re-injury, having an expert oversee my buddy’s recovery and check his progress is crucial.I highly recommend Paws in Motion for doggo PT.
April 19 · Jerry GDr. Starr is absolutely amazing! She is very knowledgable about the work she does. I could not recommend her enough if your dog needs physical therapy. She truly cares about her patients and is very responsive to any questions or concerns. Our dog Jax loved going to see her for hydrotherapy.
March 02 · Haley ZangaDr. Starr evaluated my dogs hip dysplasia and provided some at home PT exercise to help her. She was very honest and nice. We will go back if/when my dog needs more help than we can do on our own.
June 21 · Colleen MooreWe have been coming to Dr. Starr for a long time. She has an amazing way with animals. Her techniques are wonderful and she truly knows her stuff. Between the pool, the water treadmill, acupuncture and other therapies, she can help your pets immensely. I think it's important that a physical therapist for animals is a vet; it gives you an extra amount of confidence that your beloved is being cared for safely and correctly.
