★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1They are really great.... Everyone is so nice!! The Dr. diagnosed my Chocolate Lab with exactly what I thought he had and was able to prescribe and fill the medication right in the office. Very convenient. The price is reasonable. I highly recommend!!! He got all his shots. We went back for his boosters and a good nail trimming and I'm very happy!!!
August 24 · Karen PanfileI’ve been coming here for about six years now, and I generally love this place and would recommend them. However… the new guy… I was not a big fan of. He was very patronizing and pushy, sprinkled with a bit of judgmental. My puppy was sore on her back foot, and I happened to mention it at her appt for shots and he got super judgy that I didn’t wanna spend $150 on an X-ray. But I’ve been working with dogs for much longer than he’s had a degree and she definitely didn’t seem sore enough to warrant an X-Ray. In fact, they didn’t even notice the minor limp until I mentioned it. I get offering an X-ray as an option but actually suggesting/pushing it and getting rude about me not feeling that was necessary was not needed. I wish they’d stop the revolving door of vets here. I’ve been working with dogs for almost 15 years now, so I don’t appreciate being talked down to or laughed at when I have a question. Aside from that, the staff was AWESOME. Loved the girls at the front desk, so sweet and personalized, and they’re who I normally deal with anyway ☺️
August 05 · Samantha OsborneI simply love this veterinary hospital. The people there treat my animals like they are the most important creatures on the planet. I am not exaggerating. From the women out front to the techs to the doctors, EVERYONE puts out the same loving caring helpful energy.I used this veterinary hospital for my first dog, Ruby. Unfortunately she got an aggressive quick spreading cancer. Dr Anna helped me release her from her pain. I got a rescue dog about 6 months after Ruby left us and Dr Anna has been taking care of Waffles (my dog) since then which has been almost 6 years now.My sister brings her dogs to Schwenksville also. We both love the people of Schwenksville veterinary hospital. They are the kindest, most caring most compassionate animal hospital that we have found in this area. You won’t be wrong to trust these people with your pets. Your animals will receive the best care possible.
October 01 · kathleen wolcottI never expected to be writing this review. We had been taking all of our animals to Schwenksville Vet for 10 years. They knew our skittish yet lovable dog Tootsie very well, and it pains me to have to write this.Sadly, Tootsie was diagnosed with an intestinal growth that was likely cancerous and we were given the option of either having it surgically removed or leaving it. We were told if we left it, there was a chance of it growing and becoming obstructive or even causing her intestines to burst. We made what we thought was the easiest and best decision at the time with the information that we were given. That is the important part -- the information that we were given.Unfortunately, they neglected to inform us that this surgery carried some very serious risks, including sepsis due to leaking of the intestinal surgical site. Instead, it sounded like it was a routine procedure and she was sent home pretty much immediately after coming out of anesthesia. Our discharge instructions were also very general: to make sure she was eating and drinking, taking the meds, and to keep an eye on the incision to make sure it wasn't opening.Approximately 2 days after her surgery, she went septic and had to be put to sleep 2 days after that at Metropolitan vet. What we wish they had told us: That this was a surgery that could have major complications and that she might not make it. They instead told us (I have her medical records) that it likely was a spindle cell tumor and was unlikely to metastasize so removal was the best option and she would essentially be cured. If I had known that my beloved best friend would have essentially been tortured for 4 days before having to be put to sleep I absolutely would not have chosen to have the surgery.I trusted this vet for 10 years. How in the world could they have been so careless and act like this surgery was easy and routine and withhold such important information from their client? Even Metropolitan told us that this was a risk and we had to make a split second decision to try to have them go in and fix it or to put her to sleep right then. No one should have to go through what we went through or what our dog went through. I much rather would have had her here with me on borrowed time than have been traumatized seeing her hooked up to machines and barely alive. To add insult to injury, when my husband called to get her records sent to us, the receptionist did not offer her condolences. We have not even received a sympathy card and it is almost a month since she's passed.I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this vet to anyone. In my opinion, the way that she died might have been prevented if they had only been honest with us.
May 07 · Kimberly DilksI highly recommend this clinic to anybody who has a pet. Our Maggie received Both excellent care And they are very gentle. I really appreciated with the tough decision we had to make today to pass Maggie onto a better place, the care, understanding of love for both pets and owners. I appreciate all they have done for me, my wife, and our beloved dog. We will be forever grateful.
