What is worth choosing about Western Animal Hospital? It is the profound sense of trust and personal connection that the team, particularly Dr. Petcu, fosters with every client. The reviews are a powerful testament to this. One customer praises Dr. Petcu for being "wonderful with all of our pets" and for his honesty and directness. This is a quality that is highly valued by pet owners who need clear, un-sugared advice. The most moving testimonials, however, are those that touch on end-of-life care. One review poignantly recounts the staff's support during the "most difficult decision of my life" to let their pet, Vin, go. The veterinarian is described as "very kind, calming and patient" and someone who "understands how heavy the loss can be." This level of empathy is a rare and invaluable quality in a veterinary practice. It shows that Western Animal Hospital is not just focused on medical treatments but on the entire well-being of the family unit. The story of a dog with suspected dysplasia who was quickly diagnosed with multiple issues and felt "100% better" within 24 hours also highlights the team's diagnostic skills and efficiency. While the wait times can be long due to their busy schedule, it is a small price to pay for the professional, kind, and knowledgeable care that clients consistently receive. August 28 · Marissa Burciagathey aided me throughout the entire process of accepting to do what was right for my Vin.the veterinarian is very kind, calming and patient. he understands how heavy the loss can be and shows immense compassion.this was the most difficult decision of my life. i don’t think i could have made a choice without Dr. Petcu helping to alleviate the pain every step of the way.thank you, Dr. Petcu. until we meet again, Vin. ❤️
March 06 · T HSuch a great and reliableplace to bring your pets! My crazy cattle dog came in for a growth removal and the doctor guided us through the whole process. He is very knowledgeable and knows how to handle crazy dogs like mine 😆
August 22 · Arleth martinezWent to take my dog to western animal and Dr petcu was very professional and he had everyone in and out in with short wait times. I got my dog an exam and a prescription for bravecto at a very fair price , going to be coming back here for any needs my dog he enjoyed his time at this vet and I could tell the vet cared for eat and every animal that walks in that door
June 01 · Dylan JohnsonI brought my dog motorcycle in here a couple years ago after seeing several other vets who had no idea what was wrong with him and prescribed pills and ointments he developed several cysts on his rectum the Dr here knew exactly what it was a recommended neutering and a surgery to have them biopsy and he had been suffering from there lumps for a year.. since mono is 13 at the time he made sure he could withstand anesthesia by doing a blood panel and anything he was low in we gave him liver pills to make sure that he could come out of the surgery... he came out perfect no incisions on his rectum I couldn't even tell that there was a surgery done other then the neuter. I can't even tell u the relief it brought to me knowing someone knew what they were doing and the cost wasn't a problem they helped me and more with giving him a pain free lifestyle and he is now 15 and due for a old man check up but I would not go anywhere else this vet is very knowledgeable on his pets... my dog is my entire world so finding someone who actually knows what to do is slouch a comfortable feeling because I have taken my dogs to vets all over the state and so far this place is the best I would never choose another place to look out 4 my child's life
