I came into Petco at 10am on Saturday August 16th. I had an appointment at Vetco that went great and decided to shop around for a few items that I needed. The section for cats that has hair brushes, nail clippers, items for teeth, fleas and more was practically empty. Nothing on the shelf and the stuff that was there was all in the wrong spot making it hard to find what I was looking for. I wanted to buy nail clippers for my kitty so I asked the cashier if they had any and her attitude was HORRIBLE. It was a young dark skin girl and she seemed very angry that I asked her a question and was dismissive. So I decided to just pay for the items I had so I could leave. I had a 20% off coupon that I was given when I adopted my kitty. I was told I could use this coupon for stuff like food, litter, etc. The young girl refused to scan the coupon and said she had to talk to her manager. To make a long story short, they offered me 20% off but afterwards I declined and just paid the full price and left because the way I was treated was awful. I love shopping at petco, especially since the location is so convenient for me and having a store, vet, and grooming location all in one is great but the customer service was just so outrageously bad.Additionally, while I was shopping there, a Petco employee continuously followed my partner and I around the store. I understand that some people steal from stores and that you have to watch people carefully but I did not see anyone else being followed around the store either. I firmly believe that I was followed because of my skin tone.I called Petco customer service and submitted a claim and I'm waiting to hear back from them. Depending on how they handle the situation will ultimately determine if i continue shopping here and if I feel the need to escalate things further by emailing corporate. I will update this review once I hear back from them.

I’ve been a loyal Petco customer for over five months, regularly bringing my two dogs in for grooming without any prior issues. However, my most recent experience was extremely disappointing. After dropping my dogs off, I had to wait an entire hour just to pick them up after being told they’d be done in 15-20 minutes, which is completely unacceptable.The lack of communication and urgency from the staff was frustrating, especially given my consistent patronage. I expected better service, especially considering how well things had gone in the past. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider bringing my dogs here in the future. Petco, please do better.

Walking into the store all I got was a slap in the face with the smell of gasoline. It got so bad it felt like I could taste it.I barely stayed in the store.I decided to go elsewhere for my dog food because of how badly it smelled. I feel horrible for the birds in there.

If I could leave 0 stars I would! I paid more than $70 for this?!! I deliberately asked the groomer NOT to touch her ears! She has this uneven piece just chopped off on one ear, I am LIVID! I asked for her NOT to be shaven down and she was. I cannot believe they returned my dog looking like this! She looked a million times better before her haircut. I had a wonderful experience before with Tiffany but she was not in today so they assigned Emmanuel for her grooming. I chose the holiday package which included a bandanna, did not receive one. It also included cinnamon spritz which would have her coming out smelling of Christmas and she does not! I paid for that service and did not receive it! My husband picked her up so I just saw her when she got home, I have called them and there has been no answer. I will never take my dog here again if they will do whatever they want and not follow what has been asked for. Save your money and don’t put your pet through such a horrendous haircut! I would have done a much better job!Update: I took her back to try to fix it since Christmas is this Saturday. Will was very helpful and apologetic. He tried to even out the horrible cut. I truly appreciate him but there was not much he could do. I did not receive a refund and am very unhappy with the entire situation.
