★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Waiting 8 mins to get someone is odd I thought. The lady at front desk says we only have one vet laffaro who is a great guy and always helped me years ago. Lady at desk said they only take customers that are recent. Thats fine laffaro never turned work down in past. For the record I spent plenty on my dogs here and doubt Laffaro would turn me down if he was on the phone. I recall a time there were nice people that pu the phone. I liked emerson animal hospital years ago and will always be thankful to Vet Laffaro but we only take recent customers is a losers statement!
September 02 · JOHN TimminsI’ve brought my cat here for 17 years. She recently had an emergency and I was put in a spot where I had to make a tough decision, looking for guidance I called and requested Dr.Lafarro give me a call back. I called 9am and again around 11. They closed at 12 and I didn’t hear from them again. Not even a voicemail. I am honestly extremely disgusted with everyone there even the nurses and front desk people. I get it he’s the only doctor there now but seriously? I wasn’t asking for an appointment, just a call back. I don’t care how close I live to them I’m never bringing my animals there again.
July 21 · Kristy MutchkoWe have always taken our dogs to Emerson… we recently took our bullmastiff to them for an ear cleaning and it was a mess! My dog weighs about 160lbs and we never had a problem with vets doing exams on the ground due to his size. Two of the vet techs tried to (miserably) get him on the table which cause my dog to panic. Keep in mind, my dog does not have a mean bone in his body and is the definition of “gentle giant” but does get anxiety when cleaning his ears. We usually give him something to calm down before the vet but this time there was a different dosage, when we questioned it they were absolutely standing behind the idea that the dosage they given this time would work (it didn’t) When the vet tech tried to clean his ears, the vet tech was holding his neck so tight it visibly caused my dog to gasp for air, at this point I had enough and told her to loosen her grip so he could breathe, they did not do the ear cleaning. At the end of it all, I requested the ear cleaning to be taken off the bill considering it wasn’t done, when I got the receipt they charged us for it.We just took our dog to another vet where as soon as we got in the exam room he was looking for a way out, we got him settled before the vet came in and we were able to complete the exam, ear cleaning, and cut his nails with ease. It was so nice to see this other vet be patient and loving towards my bullmastiff after the mess of a visit at Emerson.
June 21 · Amber BrocknerBefore my dog came to this vet, she loved going to the vet (ikr...a dog loving the vet). She loved her previous one, wagging her tail, going right into the room. After a few visits (I wasn't with her), I don't know what happens behind the closed doors, but... she hesitates to go into the exam room. I don't know what bad vibes she got from them because, unlike her current and past vet, she wasn't relaxed with the staff at Emerson Animal Hospital at all. However, Dr. Lofaro was very informative and helpful with my dog. She was with another vet at Emerson before Dr. Lofaro, and did not like the experience at all. I don't know what he did to traumatize my vet loving dog, but absolutely do not recommend this place. If you must come here, ask for Dr Lofaro. Not to mention the price here is much higher compared to other hospitals.
June 09 · MichelleDr. Cory Korsgen has been incredible with both of my dogs. Her genuine passion for animals really shines through in the way she interacts with them, and it’s one of the main reasons I keep coming back. She’s amazing at reading their body language and understands their individual personalities, which allows her to tailor each visit to their unique needs. I have a cocker spaniel who is anxious and a german shepherd that's more rambunctious, and she handles both of them with patience and care. Thanks to her calm demeanor and ability to build trust, my dogs feel comfortable with her, even in stressful situations. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a vet who truly understands and loves animals!
