Moreau Animal Clinic Introduce
For pet owners in the New York region, finding a veterinary clinic that combines state-of-the-art medicine with genuine, heartfelt compassion is paramount. At Moreau Animal Clinic in South Glens Falls, we understand that your pets are more than just animals; they are beloved family members. Our philosophy is simple: we provide care that feels like home, treating your pets with the same kindness and respect we would want for our own. We are proud to be a women-owned business, dedicated to serving our community with a welcoming and inclusive approach.
Since becoming the new owners in 2018, Drs. Jill and Nicholas Outterson have carried on the clinic's long-standing tradition of providing high-quality, honest care with a hometown feel. We are committed to building a relationship with you and your pet rooted in trust and understanding. This means taking the time to listen to your concerns, learn about your pet's unique needs, and offer clear guidance without any pressure or unnecessary "upsells." Our team believes that client education is the foundation of great pet health. When you understand why a treatment is necessary, it becomes easier to create a care plan you feel confident about.
We are here to be your partner, whether you need a routine wellness exam or are facing a pet emergency. As one client shared, our staff's kindness is something you "never forget," especially during the most difficult moments. This compassionate care is a hallmark of our practice and the very reason many New York families trust us with their cherished companions.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This year has been one of the hardest for me. My dad and I are new in town and don’t really have anyone close here, and I had to go through losing two pets, first my sister’s cat, Mia, and then my own dog, Paca. Both times, the staff at Moreau Animal Clinic were so kind and caring. When we brought Mia in, the way they treated us made me feel comforted and supported, and I knew right then that if I ever had to go through it again with Paca, I would come back here. Sadly, that time came, and even though it broke my heart, I felt I was in the right place.Everyone was wonderful, and I wish I remembered every name. But I especially want to mention the lady at the front desk who hugged me. That meant more than I can put into words. Small acts of kindness like that are something you never forget. My sister and I will always be grateful to this clinic for the compassion they showed us and our pets. Thank you for helping us through some of the hardest moments.
August 20 · cindy johanna zapata mosqueraI recently moved to the area and had an emergency when my dog chewed her sutures out. The team was kind enough to squeeze us in right away, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Everyone was so nice, welcoming, and accommodating—it really helped take the stress out of a scary situation. Winnie enjoyed meeting each of them, and we had a wonderful experience from start to finish!
August 27 · Taylor PedersenI brought my dog in for an early morning appointment, and I was impressed from the moment I called. The clinic opens at 7am and someone was already answering the phones right away—no waiting, no voicemail runaround, just real help when you need it.The clinic itself is exceptionally clean, modern, and spacious. I especially appreciated how reactive-dog-friendly the layout is. They even have a private room with direct outdoor access, which meant no stressful encounters with other dogs or people. It’s clear they’ve put a lot of thought into creating a low-stress environment for both pets and their owners.Service was fairly quick—maybe a little faster than expected—but the vet still took the time to hear my full concerns and background before beginning the exam. She approached my dog with genuine kindness and patience, and was very thorough in her assessment. You can tell the staff care deeply about the animals they treat.Another huge plus: their pricing was very reasonable, especially for an urgent care-style visit. I was pleasantly surprised that the medications were also fairly priced and not marked up like you often see at emergency clinics. It made the entire experience feel honest and trustworthy. As I was leaving, a true emergency unfolded with a dog arriving in critical condition. The team immediately ran outside to bring the dog in and began CPR without hesitation. They remained incredibly calm and compassionate with the family, while also being discreet and professional—closing the exam room door to give the family privacy and ensuring the rest of the clinic stayed calm. It was powerful to witness, and made it clear that this is a team that’s prepared, capable, and deeply empathetic.I’m grateful for the care my dog received, and I’d absolutely recommend this clinic to anyone—especially owners of reactive or anxious pets looking for a supportive, responsive environment.
July 01 · Ames WallerThe team at Moreau is kind, efficient and knowledgeable. They take the time to understand you and your pet and work with their needs. I appreciate their compassion and expertise in what can sometimes be a stressful situation.
September 05 · A GWanted to switch vets for my senior dog for a second opinion/ be closer to home, and Moreau did not disappoint. All the staff was very nice, our doctor was very knowledgeable and explained all our options. Just one day later my dog is eating better and seems more comfortable. Both things my previous vet could not accomplish from multiple tests and visits. Will definitely continue to come here with my pets. Thank you!
