Emily is the best customer service rep at this location. All the salesmen are nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. Emily helped with the purchase of my 75-gallon aquarium and stand. She also helped me with saving some money. I appreciate the smile, the service, and the knowledge she gives.

This store has always been wonderful. The staff is kind and personable. On my most recent visit I was appalled at the state of several reptile enclosures. One of the ball pythons was teetering on deaths door. He was covered in sores, began to shake as he lifted himself off the ground, turned his head at an angle it shouldn’t move, and frankly needed to be euthanized. The dart frogs are standing in a puddle of mud, no drainage layer, no ability to get themselves off the bottom of the enclosure. It’s typical for pet stores to not have the best enclosures, but I would hope they at least try their best with what they have. This was gut wrenching to see and all I could think about for days.

If you’re looking to buy a pet and be spoken to like an animal abuser who has no knowledge or care for the pet you’re purchasing, please shop here. My mother came in to buy my sister a guinea pig, we’ve had a pair several years back and as mentioned to the worker, we have adequate knowledge of proper care, she continued to question my mom and talk to her like she was dumb. I’m assuming due to the language barrier, as English is my mom’s 4th language. Then my mom said just forget I don’t want your guinea pigs and the worker snatched the beta fish from my mother’s hands and said she probably doesn’t know how to care for that pet either. Mind you, when asked about the living space, my mom told her we have a very large crate specifically for guinea pigs and a 10 gallon tank for the fish. Then sarcastically mentioned the goldfish I was buying my daughter needed a 40 gallon tank. Ridiculous. Racist. The worker was a girl with a septum piercing. Go literally anywhere else. We’ve had all kind of pets growing up and my mother makes sure every pet is loved and adored and properly cared for.

I walked in to purchase fish, there were 2 people working at the register. One was scrolling on her phone, the other was helping a customer purchasing reptile items. When he asked what I needed and I told him fish, he said "We aren't selling fish today, only reptiles, there are only 2 of is and it takes too long." I left. They obviously don't want customers like me. I will never be back.

I was looking for goldfish to put in my aquarium. I was also looking for one or two snails to clean up the algae. I made the mistake of going to another popular pet store the day before. They didn't have anything except for three little goldfish wrapped up in a bag. I really needed to rescue those little guys. All of the other tanks were empty. I went to Petco today and they had a wonderful selection of both freshwater and saltwater fish. They also had snails and there was a gentleman there to help me right away. Would definitely go back
