Animal Ambulance of Southern California Inc. Introduce
For pet owners across Southern California, when moments are critical or when the difficult time of a final farewell approaches, specialized support is invaluable. Animal Ambulance of Southern California Inc., based in Garden Grove, provides two distinct yet equally vital services: professional pet moving for urgent medical transfers and incredibly compassionate in-home pet euthanasia and deceased pet removal services. Unlike a traditional veterinary clinic, this service is focused on bringing care and transport expertise directly to you, your veterinarian's office, or an emergency hospital.
Since its founding, the company has focused on providing comfort, respect, and dignity during a pet’s most critical or final moments. This dedication is consistently echoed by clients who have relied on their services during the most challenging times. One family noted the company’s "extreme care and patience," highlighting that "Kindness, respect, and compassion" are what make the company truly special. Their team understands that pets are deeply cherished members of the family, and they strive to make these difficult experiences as peaceful and stress-free as possible for both the animal and the owner.
Their emergency veterinarian service component offers professional, critical care transport, essentially acting as an ambulance service for pets that require urgent transfer between a general practice and a specialist or emergency hospital. Simultaneously, their pet moving service specializes in end-of-life care, providing an empathetic solution for owners who wish for their senior or ailing pets to pass away peacefully in the familiar comfort of their own home. This specialized focus fills a crucial niche in the California veterinary care landscape, providing mobility and compassion when families need it most.
The headquarters for Animal Ambulance of Southern California Inc. is situated in the heart of Orange County, allowing them to coordinate their fleet of vehicles across a wide service area that spans multiple Southern California counties, including Los Angeles, Orange County, San Bernardino, and Riverside. Their physical base of operations is:
12752 Garden Grove Blvd UNIT 102, Garden Grove, CA 92843, USA.
Given the nature of their service—which involves house calls for euthanasia and ambulance transfers—accessibility at the facility itself is primarily for staff and coordination, but the facility is mindful of accommodating all visitors:
- Wheelchair-accessible car park: Available for easy access to the clinic unit.
- Wheelchair-accessible entrance: Ensures smooth entry for all individuals.
Importantly, their services bring critical care and end-of-life support directly to the pet's location, making the essential service itself highly accessible to a vast population of Californians. Their business model reduces the stress of transporting a heavy, non-ambulatory, or critically ill pet. Payments for services are streamlined for convenience, accepting Credit Cards and Debit Cards.
Animal Ambulance of Southern California Inc. offers a specialized set of services designed to provide comfort, dignity, and critical transfer capabilities. These services are delivered by licensed professionals, often Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs), ensuring a high standard of care during transport and end-of-life procedures.
Specialized Pet Services:
- In-Home Pet Euthanasia: Provides a peaceful and dignified passing for pets in the comfort and familiarity of their own home, an especially valuable option for large or senior dogs who have difficulty moving. The review of a client with a 145-pound dog perfectly illustrates the gentle process, noting the kind doctor allowed time for goodbyes before gently sending the pet "on his way."
- Deceased Pet Removal & Cremation Service: Following in-home euthanasia or a natural passing, the company handles the respectful removal of the deceased pet from the home, often using specialized equipment like collapsible gurneys, and manages all subsequent cremation arrangements.
- Pet Ambulance Transfer (Basic and Critical Care Transport): This is a professional pet transport service, moving ill or injured animals between clinics, from a home to an emergency hospital, or to a specialist. Their ambulance units are equipped to handle critical patients.
- Critical Care Transport: Equipped with sophisticated medical equipment essential for life-sustaining care during transit, including oxygen delivery systems, IV pumps, advanced monitoring tools (like pulse oximetry and ECG), sedation tools, and crash kits for CPR. This level of transport ensures continuous care for the most unstable patients.
- Interhospital Transfers: Seamlessly moving patients between a referring veterinarian and a specialty or emergency facility, maintaining continuity of care with licensed veterinary technicians administering life-saving measures under a veterinarian’s direction.
The unique nature of this service provides several key features that are invaluable to pet owners in challenging circumstances:
- Sole Focus on Mobile Care and Euthanasia: Unlike general practices, their entire operation is dedicated to professional, high-quality pet transport and compassionate end-of-life services, allowing for deep expertise in these challenging areas.
- Licensed Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) on Board: Ambulances are staffed by RVTs who have the knowledge and certification to administer life-saving measures and monitor critical patients during transport, ensuring true "critical care" is provided en route.
- Same-Day In-Home Euthanasia: A crucial service benefit. While many other in-home euthanasia services may require days of notice, Animal Ambulance often provides same-day service, which is critical when a pet's condition declines rapidly, preventing unnecessary suffering.
- Utmost Compassion for Large and Non-Ambulatory Pets: The service is specifically designed to handle large breeds—like the 125lb and 145lb dogs mentioned in testimonials—using specialized gurneys and trained staff to eliminate the traumatic effort of moving a sick, heavy pet for a final vet visit.
- Wide Service Area in Southern California: With stations in key areas like Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties, they offer critical response and coverage across a massive geographical region.
- Independent and Licensed: They operate as the only independently owned and licensed by the California Veterinary Medical Board pet ambulance service in Southern California, ensuring professional, regulated care that is not tied to a single corporate network.
When you require immediate pet transport or need to arrange for a compassionate in-home farewell, contact is a simple, toll-free call.

Choosing Animal Ambulance of Southern California Inc. is choosing unparalleled peace of mind during your pet's most challenging medical situations. For critical pet transfers, they offer more than just a ride; they provide a fully equipped mobile Intensive Care Unit staffed by veterinary professionals, ensuring continuous, life-sustaining care from point A to point B. This capability is absolutely vital in the often-congested Southern California region, where a delay in care can be fatal.
However, the area where they truly shine is their dedicated, compassionate in-home euthanasia service. Pet owners consistently find that allowing their beloved companion to pass away peacefully at home—surrounded by family and familiar comfort—is "worth every penny," even if the service costs more than an in-clinic procedure. The highly trained team facilitates a loving, unrushed environment, mitigating the immense stress and pain for both the pet and the human family during that final goodbye. When you are in a "worst case scenario," this company makes the experience "as good as possible," a sentiment that speaks volumes to their unique blend of clinical professionalism and profound empathy for California's pets and their families.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I have used this company for a really long time. They have taken care of my pets and family with extreme care and patience. Kindness respect and compassion is what makes this company so special and I highly recommend them.
January 20 · mr9918gmailcomWe've used Animal Ambulance of So Cal twice with 2 large dogs. I've always felt terrible when their time comes having to take my senior dogs to the vet for euthanasia. Usually, they can't stand and feel awful. I found Animal Ambulance when our huge 145 pound mixed breed boy was reaching the end of his time. We cleaned up when he started having accidents, but when he couldn't get up and was laying in his mess, I knew it was time. They came out promptly and the doctor was very kind and caring. He let us take our time saying our goodbyes and once we said we were ready, he very gently sent our boy on his way. With utmost care he placed our boy on a collapsible gurney, covered him and took him to the ambulance. Yes, it costs more than taking them into the vet (the price is based on weight, just like the vet's office), but it's worth every penny to let them go peacefully at home. I can't recommend them highly enough. The experience with our second boy (125 lbs) was just as good. You're in a worst case scenario when it's time to say goodbye to your furry baby, but Animal Ambulance makes it a good as possible. I'd add that I'll use them again and again, but we moved out of state and I wish they were here! Thank you so much, Animal Ambulance
October 16 · Vicki McGuireI called to advise that my 17 year old cat having had not eaten nor drank water for 4 days. I called about euthanasia they were not quick to take advantage of this situation to make money they brought out why didn't I try to feed the cat tuna and see if he would eat that and go from there. First two days barely ate the tuna but thereafter has been eating and drinking water. It has been 12 days and my cat is doing well. Eating and playing. I am so grateful to Andy who was the one I spoke with and to the company that no doubt promotes this kindness. With all my heart, thank you. ❤️
