The Humane Society of New York Introduce
For generations of New York City pet owners, The Humane Society of New York has been a name synonymous with compassionate animal care and a commitment to the well-being of the city’s furry, feathered, and scaled residents. Located in the heart of Midtown, The Humane Society of New York stands as a pillar of the community, offering a range of services from routine check-ups to complex surgical procedures. Its dual role as both a shelter and a veterinary clinic creates a unique environment where animal welfare is the driving force behind every action.
The ethos of The Humane Society of New York is built on a foundation of empathy and dedicated service. The organization's mission is to ensure that all animals, regardless of their circumstances, receive the care they need. This mission is reflected in the approach of their veterinary staff, who are trained to provide gentle and professional care to every patient. While the clinic's facilities are clean and well-maintained, the focus remains on delivering effective treatment and support. They understand that a pet is a cherished family member, and their goal is to provide peace of mind to owners by offering reliable and compassionate care. This commitment to animal welfare and community service makes The Humane Society of New York a special place for New Yorkers to turn to for their pet's health needs.
---Situated at 306 E 59th St, New York, NY 10022, USA, The Humane Society of New York is conveniently located for many residents across the city. Its Midtown location makes it a practical option for those in Manhattan and surrounding boroughs. While the facility's interior spaces, including the waiting room, can be small, its central address makes it easy to get to by public transit or car. It is important to note that appointments are recommended to ensure you can be seen promptly. This is especially helpful given the clinic's popularity. For the comfort of both pets and their owners, the clinic sometimes manages waiting areas to keep different types of animals separated, such as moving cats inside quickly to avoid dogs barking in the waiting room. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My kitty was neutered here, nice clinic and nice vets. My only issue was that the lady at the desk and the confirmation email said that I would have to wait for a phone call to know when I would be able to pick him up. It was now late in the afternoon and still had not received said call so I went back and let them know, but it was a different lady at the desk and she said I was in the wrong because I had to pick him up during the pick-up window which was not what I was told in the morning. Side note: kitties were taken inside right away because of dogs barking in the waiting room.
July 25 · adilene diazOk so the day of cats surgery (neutering) they had us wait outside in the cold. The waiting room was small and uncomfortable. Overall they took care of my animal and the costs was reasonable. All I have to say is they make a decent amount of money you can at least make your waiting room more comfortable for the owners waiting for their pets.

November 14 · Beatrice IliescuPlease be aware when showing up to this office to be prepared for the following, it is a very small waiting area, they have no bathroom for you to use, they will tell you to walk down the block to a restaurant on the corner to use their bathroom. They do not allow you to go into the room with your animal. The doctor doesn't even come out to talk to you or anything, an assistant comes out and gets your animal, the doctor calls you on your phone to communicate with you this way. They also will allow others to be sitting in that waiting room with their animals barking up a storm and do not even ask them if they can try to get their dog(s) under control. While I was there, there was a lady with multiple dogs barking non stop at people and other animals. With not one worker telling this person to even possibly maybe go outside. To be considerate of the other people who were in that small area with this nonsense going on. No one else's animals were doing a thing either for these dogs to be barking the way they were. Just some things to keep in mind.
