---For New Yorkers seeking a pet care provider, the decision is a personal one that weighs convenience, cost, and quality of service. The Sunnyside Pet Healthcare & Dental Center offers a broad spectrum of services that, on paper, make it an attractive option for pet owners who prefer an all-in-one location. The availability of specialized dental care, emergency services, and boarding is a significant convenience. Its location in a bustling part of Queens is also a major plus for local residents. The clinic's focus on onsite services means that diagnostics and treatment can be handled efficiently, which is important in an urgent situation.
However, the provided customer reviews paint a mixed picture. The feedback raises concerns about the clinic's customer service, particularly in emergency situations, as well as pricing transparency and overall value. A pet owner's trust is paramount, and the stories of miscommunication and a perceived lack of empathy could be significant factors for potential clients. For some, the sheer range of services might outweigh these concerns, especially if convenience is a top priority. For others, particularly those who prioritize a compassionate and transparent experience above all else, the negative feedback may be a deterrent. It is essential for prospective clients to consider these firsthand accounts in their decision-making process to determine if the clinic aligns with their personal values and expectations for pet care.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve taken my dog to Sunnyside Animal Clinic twice and unfortunately, I’m very disappointed with the experience. Each visit cost $85 and felt extremely rushed, with very little explanation or care. I was also charged a $30 copay for medication that turned out to be over-the-counter and still had to pay full price for the meds—which I later found on Amazon for a fraction of the cost. I’ve already spent over $400 and walked out of my last visit due to the high prices and lack of value. Definitely not worth the money, and I won’t be returning.
July 28 · Suny.Student EduOn July 24th, I called Sunnyside Animal Clinic in an emergency because my cat, Blackula, was not feeling well, and I didn't know what to do. Unfortunately, on this day I had the worst customer experience ever. The person i spoke with on the phone was unhelpful and repeatedly told me that Blackula wouldn't receive any assistance because I had an outstanding bill. I was unaware Blackula had gone on his own on June 21st for an ear cleaning. (We were not even in the country on this date)I couldn't believe what I was hearing and was crying on the phone, telling her that my cat was dying. Eventually, I hung up. A few minutes later, I received a call from the vet's office explaining that there had been a mistake regarding my cat's information and there was no outstanding balance, ( this after a 10 min phone disagreement)The most frustrating part was that I initially called to get advice from a veterinarian on how to help my cat. Still, the service I received was disappointing and lacked any empathy.I would not recommend this Veterinarian clinic.
August 05 · Cinthya OlivaI had an amazing experience with my first dog, so I decided to take my super anxious 9 yr old German Shepherd there. Christian at the front desk was SO kind, and did his best to accommodate my dog’s needs when it comes to her anxiety. The doctor and techs were so calm and patient with her, even while she barked kinda crazy upon first meeting her. She was able to warm up to them very quickly because she felt safe, and I’m so thankful for that. Dr. Goldenberg listened to everything I had to say, was extremely thorough when addressing my concerns, asked the right questions to get the necessary details. The tech in the room (I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name) thoroughly explained an estimate for a dental cleaning that I requested, and I appreciated the transparency. I trust this clinic with the care of my two pups, and thankful that they’re here for the community!
January 09 · NishaWe’ve been using Sunnyside Pet Healthcare for nearly two years now and we so grateful to have them. Wolfie, our Siberian Husky loves the staff here and we’ve always been given really good advice from Dr Goldberg. Kris on reception is prompt to respond and although this is a very busy practice we feel we always get excellent treatment from the staff and Vets here, and yes sometimes you have to wait if its an emergency but they always communicate what’s going on and I’ve seen serious situations here being seen to immediately and we didn’t protest. This is a great neighbourhood pet healthcare centre and we’ll always come back for Wolfies check ups and vax boosters.
May 12 · ultan molloyToday was my last visit at this place. I decided to put it to an end with the disrespect of my time and money. In total I think I went to this place 4 times, every single one of them I was frustrated somehow but decided to give another chance since it’s very close to my house.I went for an appointment at 10:30am that they scheduled. When I got there they said my appt was for a different date but since I was there they could ACCOMMODATE me for 11:30am. I had an appt confirmation by phone yesterday, email and text message CONFIRMING my appt was today at 10:30am. But front desk still said they could try to fit me in for 11am if the next appt canceled.NEVER received an apology. Not even trying to speak to the vet and make my time worth. I would have to just wait. The prior visit to this one they wrongfully charged me for two visits for no reason, I had to call to make sure I wouldn’t have to pay again.TRUST THE BAD REVIEWS HERE. It’s not worth your time and your pets stress to get there.Christian(the front desk person) was the best one to rightfully communicate with me once I stood up and said I was leaving. I wish I had that interaction once I arrived but I had to get upset and get ready to leave to get their attention. It sucks.Do not recommend this place and won’t be coming back!!!When I told them their reviews on Google were pretty bad their answer was that people - EXAGGERATE. Let me tell you that it isn’t. People are frustrated and upset and this place does not acknowledge or make any changes.
