Vetco Vaccination Clinic Introduce
In the dynamic and growing communities of Arizona, ensuring your pet receives regular preventative care is a key part of responsible ownership. However, the cost and time commitment of traditional veterinary visits can sometimes be a barrier. This is where a specialized service like the Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Mesa provides a valuable and accessible solution. Located conveniently within a Petco store, this clinic offers a streamlined approach to essential pet health services, focusing on the core preventative needs of dogs and cats.
The core mission of Vetco Vaccination Clinic is to make fundamental veterinary care more affordable and accessible. By focusing on a limited, yet crucial, range of services such as vaccinations, microchipping, and parasite prevention, they can offer transparent pricing without the added cost of a full veterinary exam fee. This model is particularly appealing for pet owners who already have a regular veterinarian for more complex health issues but need an affordable and quick way to keep up with routine shots. The clinic operates on an appointment-required basis, which helps manage client flow and ensures each pet receives the necessary attention without a long wait.
Customer experiences with Vetco can be mixed, which is a common theme for clinics that operate on a high-volume model. One pet owner shared a positive experience, noting that the staff was "empathetic and worked with her" to vaccinate her difficult-to-handle cat. This highlights the clinic's ability to provide compassionate and patient care. On the other hand, another customer recounted a frustrating experience with miscommunication regarding a vaccination package. This type of feedback underscores the importance of clear communication and for pet owners to be proactive and informed about their pet's needs before their visit.
Despite the occasional challenge, Vetco clinics fill an important niche in the pet care market. They are designed for a "quick visit," which is ideal for busy Arizona residents. The clinics provide a valuable service for those who have recently adopted a pet or for new pet owners who are navigating the world of preventative health for the first time. The focus on basic, but vital, services like heartworm and flea and tick prevention is especially important in Arizona's climate, where these parasites are a year-round concern.
Ultimately, Vetco Vaccination Clinic serves a specific purpose: providing straightforward, no-frills preventative care. For many Arizona families, it can be a convenient and cost-effective way to ensure their pets are protected from common diseases and parasites, serving as a helpful partner in their pet’s overall health plan.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The BEST! My kitty truly is a baby doll but she can’t stand carriers or kennels. They were empathetic and worked with her to get the job done! Thank you VetCo!
August 09 · Alexandra Graf**Please read if you are considering vetco**. Hate writing bad reviews but I had the absolute worst experience at vetco and I do not recommend them. Recently adopted a stray cat and took him in for a microchip. I had used vetco before with no issues on previous pets, they have weekend hours and the prices seemed cheaper. The woman checking us in was incredibly rude and refused to see us stating they won't microchip without also doing vaccines and they can't do the vaccines until we've had the cat x amount of time due to not knowing his medical background. Talked to the vet and he recommended the kitten package which is a 3 part series. (This is a full grown cat mind you). It was more than we were planning but it seemed to cover a lot. So we made another appointment at the time they told us and returned. The 2nd appointment went well and all the ladies were wonderful. However, when we returned in the 4 weeks time for the booster the check in lady told us we were sold the wrong package and he didn't need those shots or the 3rd appointment. She said the only way to get a refund was to call customer service, but then we would have to start all over because they wouldn't do the microchip that day which we really needed done and I wasn't about to start all over and traumatize the cat and re-vaccinate. (We had already paid at the previous appointment) So not only did I throw 200 dollars out the window (when I came in for a 36 dollar microchip) but if that lady checking us in hadn't told me I would have my cat in for more shots he didn't need putting his health at risk and further stressing him for no reason. Absolutely unacceptable.
June 03 · J WTerrible experience at Vetco on 04/11 around 3:30pm. The 2 ladies at the front have no customer service skills and come off as aggressively rude. They didn’t give directions to where the actual line started and gave attitude when I asked if that was the correct area—since it was not visible. The line was on the other side of the store.Shaan, who was checking in dogs, then told me I’d need to have my pup for at least 1 week before their first shots. I’ve never heard of this before. I understood, but is the attitude a requirement from Vetco?First, I get told to stand by the sign, he then tells me to move to the other sign, it’s then my turn and I get told that he wants to do appointments first, then he tells me no. I was waiting in line just wasting my time.Save your time and go to a vet that actually cares about your pet. Good vets who are friendly will treat your pet with the same respect and kindness.
April 12 · Joselyne EstradaBeware! I think the vets that vaccinated my cat did a great job, and were kind. What was off is confusing messages that have you text when you arrive, but don't say anything back. Thankfully had brought my husband with me to go in and find out if we were to be texted to come in when they were ready for us, or just go on in with pet. Go on in we found out to wait in a line with various people and their pets.. The vets are at the front left corner of the store, but you have to carry your animal to a stand in the cat section at the back of the store to check in. Then we were informed of the high price. Truly bait & switch tactic of advertising reduced pricing for first time shots, and then once there with your stressed out pet, they let you know that only full service Vetcos have the reduced rates?! This one on University is not!! Should have walked out, but had already stressed out animal. Cost $115 for shots, and informed me boosters would be an additional $100.
June 06 · Paula AmesVisited Petco to have my cat vaccinated for rabies. Experienced incorrect information entry about my cat. Contacted VETCO to make arrangements for the breed of cat to be corrected. Vetco staff stated they are not authorized to update my cat's information. At the time of the appointment visit, I was not asked if my cat is microchipped; therefore, VETCO support would not be able to add the details on the certificate without a veterinarian's direct entry at a Petco store. The telephone call was escalated to a supervisor to work through the error created by VETCO. The supervisor stated that he would write an entry into the company computer system for the staff at the VETCO store to read and act on. After the conversation with VECTO customer support, I visited the Better Business Bureau website. Found that VETCO isn't a member, and the complaints submitted to the BBB for VETCO to address and rectify have not been completed to the customer's satisfaction. VETCO has received a rating of F.The trade-off for reasonable prices means visiting a PETCO, store that has an arrangement with VETCO. Owners of pets have a high probability of experiencing problems with incorrect or no entries to their pets' certificates, resulting in repeat visits to rectify problems.
